Finance Assistant/Administrative Coordinator

Summary/Objective

To perform and maintain financial duties such as payroll, PTO, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, chart of accounts and codes, assist in end of year audit and 1099 reporting. Provide training and guidance to coworkers on finance program. Provide monthly statements and handle customer questions about accounts and collections.

Essential Functions

  • Payroll – make updates to payroll such as insurance, compensation, new or terminating employees, retirement plans changes. Review 3rd party payroll processing for accuracy and give ok to process payments.
  • PTO tracking – Manage and maintain the PTO tracking process, communicate PTO information to Employees in a timely and accurate manner
  • Accounts receivable – Determine and apply codes to each receivable, send out statements, process refunds, contact customers, and research and resolve payment discrepancies
  • Accounts payable – Process and code invoices, enforce signature rules and approvals, void and reissue checks, post accounts payable.
  • Bank and Investment Accounts Reconciliation – Determine when to begin the reconciliation process, complete deposits, reconcile credit card bill.
  • Chart of Accounts – open new calendar, create chart of accounts, enter workshop codes and close out old codes.
  • Workshop Codes Tracking and Monitoring – When to recycle workshop codes, enter and monitor workshop codes for accuracy
  • W-9, 1099 tracking and end of year processing – Send W-9 to customers and track, send 1099’s at the end of the year and deliver the information to the IRS
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of electronic finance systems – Manage, maintain and train staff. (SMARTFinance experience preferred)
  • Knowledge of payroll procedures, withholdings, taxes and pensions. Knowledge of procedures for new and terminated employees. (SmartHR experience preferred)
  • Excel and Word software knowledge – spreadsheets for tracking and verification of accuracy for insurance, PTO, code tracking and bank reconciliation
  • Accounts Receivable-knowledge of deposit procedures, entering and organizing customer accounts and questions
    Accounts Payable-knowledge of expense procedures, entering and organizing vendors accounts and questions
  • General office equipment, organizing and maintaining financial information.
  • Administrative duties-knowledge of all programs to help administrative staff with events and any financial needs they may have
  • Customer service skills including receivable collections and vendor discrepancies

Early Childhood/Title One Paraprofessional

Special Education Director

Special Education Director

Wright Technical Center is seeking a Special Education Director beginning with the 2018-19 school year to serve the students attending the learning center. This position only will require approximately 90-120 hours per school year.

The learning center has an approximate case load target of 24 students, 17 returning with 5 being referred. 47 different students on IEP’s attended the ALC in 2017-18. There are 1.6 FTE Special Ed teachers.

Wright Technical Center is a cooperative district serving students from the eight-member districts of Annandale, Big Lake, Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose, Delano, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, Maple Lake, Monticello and St. Michael-Albertville.

Responsibilities:

·        Assist counselor with the intake review process for ALC students

o    Review student IEP and supporting documents for appropriateness (FAPE) of referral to the ALC

o    Review current accommodation & modifications

o    Review current services (the services at the ALC are very limited)

o    Review evaluation date

·        Provided needed assistance to case managers when amending student IEP

·        Attend IEP meetings and 3-year evaluation review meetings when needed.

·        Advise building principal and CTE instructors with student special education concerns in the WTC. (150 student on IEPs)

·        Complete all MDE required reports, documentation, etc.

·        Provided in-service staff training

English Language Development Specialist

Supervisor of Food Service

The Supervisor of Food Service will provide leadership in the delivery of food service programs to a diverse student population by planning, designing, and managing a state of the art Nutrition Services department to effectively meet the nutritional needs of students and staff.  This position will participate in the recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, supervision, and evaluation of site staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Plans, organizes, supervises, and assigns work of Nutrition Services staff at multiple District 742 sites.
Creates and maintains menus, including recipe development, production, and supervision, that are sensitive to the cultural differences of a diverse student population.
Ensures menus meet USDA regulations while also monitoring food cost and nutrition.
Monitors food storage to ensure federal, state, and local nutritional standards are met.
Manage special dietary needs to including coordinating with kitchen managers, nursing staff, parents, and students.
Takes into consideration and accommodates unique needs of students on free and reduced lunch programs.
Evaluates Nutritional Services staff performance including training, coaching, and administering corrective action, when warranted.
Counsels, trains, and directs First Cooks concerning problem solving, personnel issues, and operational issues involved in the coordinator of operations at their assigned schools.
Ensures Nutritional Services staff are sensitive and responsive to a diverse student population.
Ensures consistency by implementing and sharing best practices across District 742 locations.
Plans, implements, and troubleshoots point of sale, inventory control systems, other operational and procedural problems, issues, or concerns with staff.
Develops, implements, and modifies marketing plans to improve participation.  Evaluates and revises marketing plans as needed.
Enthusiastically supports the mission and vision of the District and communicates effectively with faculty, staff, students, parents, and administration.
Monitors benchmarks to ensure innovative strategies for continuous improvement are attained.
Provides technical assistance and training to staff.
Works with vendors to solve problems, monitor costs, and ensure timely delivery of District supplies.
May require occasional work outside of normal business hours to support the needs of the school district.
