Long Term Substitute position begins 2018-2019 school year

Dates of Assignment: 8/15/2018-5/30/2019

Position serves Raven Stream Elementary School and Private Schools.

 

JOB SUMMARY: Educate, plan, teach, facilitate and evaluate students and children identified with special education needs according to local, state and federal regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications required:

• Appropriate licensure for special education
• Knowledge in research-based best practices and differentiation
• Preference of having knowledge and experience in working with children with special needs

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implements individualized instruction designed to meet the educational needs of children on IEPs
• Creates a learning environment conducive to the learning needs of children with disabilities
• Encourages student success by collaborating with classroom teachers and assisting with accommodations and modifications when appropriate
• Employs a variety of instructional techniques embedding technology when appropriate
• Conducts and carries out educational assessments
• Maintains accurate and complete records as required by law and district procedures

Qualifications: MDE licensed Special Education Teacher- any disability area (dual licensed secondary gened preferred)
