Job Summary: The Nutrition Services Director is responsible for managing and supervising the overall development, planning, operations and personnel of the district’s school nutrition services. Duties include: overseeing nutritional activities; menu planning; food production; purchasing and bidding; budget development and monitoring; and human resource management for the department to promote healthy food habits for children.
Education/Certification Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Food Service Management
Nutrition/Dietetic or Business/Marketing and a minimum of three years of experience in a related administrative position
Serve Safe certified preferred
School Nutrition Specialist (SNS) preferred

Experience Requirements:
Prior experience with management of school meals program
Experience with personal computers and software including spreadsheets, word processing, financial analysis, nutrient analysis and fiscal accountability systems

Experience in coordinating programs and education to ensure appropriate safety and sanitation standards are acheived.
