Non-Affiliated Position District Office Procurement Coordinator Position Description/Qualifications: 1.Manages all aspects of procurement including the ability to develop and administer policies and processes for timely and economic acquisition, delivery, distribution, tracking, and payment for the services, supplies, and equipment required for the operation of the District. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals while maximizing the resources of the District; and, minimizing various liabilities. 2.Plans, directs and supervises the purchasing function which obligates District funds for products, services and equipment following approved objectives, policies and procedures. 3.Ensures that all required certificates of insurance are received from vendors. 4.Utilizes competitive bidding, informal quotations and negotiation, adhering to Federal Uniform Grant Guidelines (UGG), State of Minnesota statutes and law and District policies and procedures. 5.A minimum of a four-year degree in business, accounting or finance area, and two years of purchasing experience preferred, or a suitable combination of education and experience. 6.Knowledge of how to analyze technical data in suppliers’ proposals; be a good communicator and negotiator; have solid mathematical skills; understand supply-chain management; and be able to carry out financial analyses. 7.Knowledge of State Statutes and School Board policies related to purchasing activities.
