We are hiring Middle School Teachers for the 2017 2018 school year in the following subjects: Science Social Studies Spanish Our teachers provide an enriching development and learning environment that promotes academic learning and is appropriate to the maturity, interest development levels of students. They will develop a linguistically and culturally appropriate educational program. The teachers will: Implement lesson plans instruct and assess student development and performance Incorporate Latino cultural into everyday lessons and activities Use specialized approaches to facilitate English language development to second language learners Maintain productive, supportive relationships with students, teachers and parents.

Academia Cesar Chavez (ACC) is dedicated to providing a quality dual-language education that prepares critically thinking, socially competent, values driven, and culturally aware bilingual and biliterate learners by advocating Latino cultural values in an environment of familia and community. ACC is hiring an Early Childhood Classroom Teacher for English/Spanish bilingual and bicultural pre-kindergarten instructional program. This teacher will provide an enriching development and learning environment that promotes academic learning and is appropriate to the maturity, interest development levels of students. The will develop a linguistically and culturally appropriate educational program. Major Functions and Responsibilities: Implementing a 60:40 dual language curriculum that incorporates Latino culture into everyday lessons and activities Set up a new classroom Foster a pre-kindergarten to kindergarten transition Implement valuable and culturally relevant lessons and methods that are appropriate to the levels of Spanish and English proficiencies of the students Utilize specialized approaches to facilitate English language development to second language learners in addition to teaching Spanish language development Use best practices in language acquisition to support academic development in both Spanish and English Plan and guide the learning process to help students achieve program objectives Collaborate with school personnel, such as teachers and psychologist, to best meet the needs of all students Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning as well as incorporating social skills instruction to assist students in establishing and maintaining positive classroom and social behaviors while incorporating ACC’s school values Conduct home visits and have open communication and engage with families and guardians Submit reports which meet local and state requirements in a timely manner Conduct literacy and math assessments in English and Spanish Select appropriate assessments based on individual student needs Possess a knowledge of Balance Literacy Provide positive feedback and reinforcement to students
