The essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following fundamental duties: * Planning, organizing and carrying out tier II and III targeted, intensive interventions both inside and outside of the classroom. * Aiding the administration of school-wide assessments. * Attending weekly meetings both during and after school hours. * Using data to collaborate with other teachers to identify specific areas of need. * Providing research-based instruction in the core curriculum areas for which employed; making appropriate use of instructional resources and technologies. * Developing and implementing innovative methods for providing instruction to students. * Developing learning materials that support the learning objectives and planned activities. * Instructing students using a variety of active and engaging teaching strategies/learning activities and student assessment methods * Evaluating student performance in accordance with systems used by school; promoting student achievement; maintaining required student records; making related reports to the principal as prescribed or authorized by the Director. * Maintaining contact and communication with parents of students and working with them in the academic development of the student; participating in parent teacher conferences. * Performing classroom management duties; enforcing rules governing the conduct of students; taking appropriate disciplinary action with students when necessary; managing the classrooms effectively including maintaining good student discipline and supporting ACS’s discipline standards and rules. * Continuing to seek professional growth and development in the curriculum areas for which employed; attending professional development required by the District. * Assisting in the provision of daily supervision of students as required or assigned. * Contributing to the District’s inclusive workplace efforts by fostering a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment. * Performing other related duties as assigned.
