Position begins 2017-2018 school year. JOB SUMMARY: Educate, plan, teach, facilitate and evaluate students and children identified with special education needs according to local, state and federal regulations and guidelines. Responsibilities: Plan and implements individualized instruction designed to meet the educational needs of children on IEPs and IFSPs Creates a learning environment conducive to the learning needs of children with disabilities Encourages student success by collaborating with classroom teachers and assisting with accommodations and modifications when appropriate Provide families with service coordination supports in order to meet their needs Conducts and carries out educational assessments Maintains accurate and complete records as required by law and district procedures Qualifications required: BA/BS degree Appropriate licensure for special education Knowledge in research-based best practices and differentiation New Prague Area Schools is a consistently growing district of 4,000 students, Pre K through 12. Qualifications required: Appropriate licensure for special education Knowledge in research-based best practices and differentiation Preference of having knowledge and experience in working with children with a variety of disabilities Responsibilities: Plan and implements individualized instruction designed to meet the educational needs of children on IEPs Creates a learning environment conducive to the learning needs of children with disabilities Encourages student success by collaborating with classroom teachers and assisting with accommodations and modifications when appropriate Employs a variety of instructional techniques embedding technology when appropriate Conducts and carries out educational assessments Maintains accurate and complete records as required by law and district procedures New Prague Area Schools is a consistently growing district of 4,000 students, Pre K through 12.
