Social Justice Humanities Teacher

HSRA is looking for a Licensed Language Arts or Social Studies to work as an Social Justice Humanities teacher. We are looking for a dynamic personality that can excite our students about literacy, civic engagement, and historical inquiry through exciting hand-ons education in the classroom. At HSRA our teachers must incorporate cultural relevance, social justice, relevant material to the students, a creative use of technology, and a keen understanding of trauma sensitive classroom management. This teacher will run their Humanities classes using our model of blended learning, project based learning, and the curation of experiential learning opportunities.

Creative Math Specialist

At HSRA our teachers must incorporate cultural relevance, social justice, relevant material to the students, a creative use of technology, and a keen understanding of trauma sensitive classroom management. This teacher should also incorporate an understanding of varied approaches to teaching math and collaborate with other subjects for team teaching when possible. This teacher will run their Math classes using our model of blended learning, competency based learning, and the curation of experiential learning opportunities.

Special Education Teacher – Saints Academy/Saints Online (2711)

The person hired for this position will provide Special Education services and case management to students in two unique programs; Saints Academy and Saints Online. Saints Academy is a small community based alternative program for students in grades 9-12 who, for a variety of reasons, are not being successful in the traditional high school setting. Saints Online is an off-site option for resident students in grades 3-12 to access learning online and work towards diploma completion. Both programs are in operation at the Crossroads School & Vocational Center (CSVC) located in St. Francis. Primary service provision, programming, and case management will be for on-site Saints Academy students. Provide direct special education services for students who have disabilities Provide consultation and support to classroom teachers regarding students on IEPs. Provide work direction and support to the assigned Educational Assistant. Perform educational assessments of students as required. Develop, write and implement IEPs for assigned caseload. Ensure that due process requirements are being followed. Create behavior plans and incentive programs for students that encourage attendance, participation, and overall progress towards IEP goals and objectives.

Special Education Teacher – Crossroads School & Vocational Center (2712)

Provide direct special education services for students as identified on their individualized education plans. This includes any combination of reading, math, self regulation, and social skills services. Provide consultation and support to classroom teachers regarding students on IEPs. Co teaching, team teaching, and other forms of collaboration will be an important part of your role. Provide work direction and support to the assigned Educational Assistants (Paraprofessionals).
