Elementary Principal
The principal leader and administrator of District educational programs at a 550 student K-5 elementary school that is STEM centered and has a rich tradition of excellence, including a partnership with a neighboring county nature center. Principal responsibilities include assisting teachers in strengthening their knowledge base and repertoire of teaching skills; developing a safe and welcoming environment where all individuals are respected and to ensure that such practices support continued outstanding student achievement in a K-5 setting. The principal must provide leadership to carry out the district’s strategic plan. The principal must encourage parent involvement. A special education teacher will work in one of several special education licensure areas. The duties or each of these positions may vary.
