Director of Nutrition Services
- Provide leadership over the District’s Nutrition Services, including developing, evaluating, and modifying the department’s goals and operational plans.
- Oversee the daily operation of the Nutrition Services program throughout the District, including planning menus and regularly visiting each building’s kitchen to ensure compliance with sanitization, safety, and USDA standards.
- Implement state and federal regulations and School Board policies related to Nutrition Services.
- Oversee the department budget and approve the requisitions for supplies, equipment and materials necessary for the operation of the department.
- Develop and complete mutual commitments tied directly to the District’s Strategic Plan
- Actively participate in the recruitment, selection, staff development, and evaluation of staff members.
- Serve as a District representative in all matters pertaining to the Nutrition Services union, including negotiations and labor relations.
- Serve as a member of the District’s administrative team and actively participate in the development, implementation, and achievement of the District’s strategic plans.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
High School Spanish Teacher
Position is 1.0 FTE for the remainder of the 23-24 School Year, approximate start of April 2024, through June 7, 2024. This position is part of the teacher bargaining unit and based at the High School. Salary and benefits part of Master Agreement
Minimum Requirements:
Must have a valid MN Spanish License or able to obtain the appropriate license from PELSB, Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board.
Qualifications:
- Experience in school setting and/or previous experience working with secondary level students
- Fluent in Spanish, both orally and written
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to build relationships with colleagues, community and students
- Excellent communication skills with students, parents and staff
Responsibilities:
- Identify the needs of students through formal and informal assessments
- Plan, develop and implement appropriate lessons to ensure the achievement of student growth
- Communicate with students, parents and staff on regular basis on student progress
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies
- Update all necessary records accurately as required by laws, district policies and school regulations
- Attend department, school and parent meetings or functions

Job summary: Assist the special education teacher in the operation and function of the classroom, and to work with individual or small groups of students as directed by and under the supervision of the special education teacher. Specifically this position will work with students in the Connect Program to implement daily interventions and assistance as planned by licensed staff. This position will primarily work in our Connect program with ASD students.
Responsibilities and tasks include:
Assist in the implementation of the students’ special education instructional plan(s) including physical and behavioral management. Specific duties are assigned by the supervising teacher based on students’ special needs.
Assist in the implementation and follow through of the students’ individual plans in all settings in which the program is delivered and as assigned by the supervising teacher.
Collect observational data about assigned student(s) in various school settings and report to supervising teacher.
Assist in the preparation, collection and maintenance of educational materials and equipment.
Assist staffings, conferences and any other special meetings as requested by supervising teacher.
Complete educational forms, reports and other student related data relevant to the individual student(s) in the special education program as directed by the special education teacher.
Any other duties deemed necessary by the team and approved by the Special Education Coordinator Special Education Supervisor.
Minimum qualifications include:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Persons employed shall have the skills needed to perform tasks and work with children, staff and parents. Must have physical capability to lift and attend to physical needs of students as required.
Participation in district training program prior to and during employment.

These tasks will constitute the major portion of the Educational Support Professional time. Includes lunch and recess supervision; and copy work.
Responsibilities:
Assist in general classroom operational procedures such as setting up and operating audiovisual equipment, setting up physical education equipment, preparing and setting up art supplies.
Work directly with students individually or in small groups on academic and motor or social skills, e.g., math, science, English, color recognition, decision making, self-esteem building, etc.
Assist students and teachers in large group activities/projects such as art, physical education, dramatics.
Seek out special instructional materials to assist with students having particular learning problems, e.g., separate math skill worksheet, not a part of teacher’s curriculum.
Type worksheets, tests, or various instructional material; duplicate and assemble.
Correct tests via computer. Record results in grade books.
Perform other duties as assigned by principal or designee.

Job Summary: To provide in-depth secretarial/clerical support to the site administrator/front office and staff of the Osseo Education Center through management of district provided resources under the direction of the site administrator.
Osseo Education Center is looking for a candidate with diverse skills who can direct and redirect students in a confident manner; possesses strong clerical and communication skills, is comfortable greeting visitors, answering phones and fielding questions. In addition, candidates must have a positive attitude, be willing to work as part of a team, and be flexible with needed assignments.
Responsibilities and tasks include:
Provide secretarial/clerical support to the administrator and Osseo Education Center staff in the form of typing, data entry, record keeping, filing, duplication of materials, locating resources, and answering phones.
Greet visitors and answer questions/concerns for the Osseo Education Center; provide community resource information.
Provide support to and function as a liaison between building administrator, staff, students, families, and the general public.
Liaison for building and district communication.
Communicate and coordinate services with internal and external vendors.
Monitor and implement requests for all community, school, and extra-curricular requests requiring building facilities and/or equipment.
Arrange and monitor transportation for all community outings, employment, and volunteer placements.
Communicate transportation needs to Transportation Department.
Monitor site administrator calendar: arrange and schedule appointments and meetings and keep administrator updated.
Monitor attendance line; record and communicate student absences to building staff.
Monitor facilities and notify appropriate source of any equipment or special work arrangements necessary.
Update and maintain handbooks and manuals.
Assist in keeping physical asset & key inventory.
Other clerical duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications include:
Education: High school graduate or equivalent required.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities include:
Extensive secretarial/clerical skills, including MS office software (i.e., MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook), Google applications and database maintenance.
Extensive skills in developing and maintaining record systems.
Knowledge of district policies as they affect the general operation of the building.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of the materials and information disseminated daily.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing work environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
Ability to carry out job responsibilities independently, possess effective time management and organizational skills.
Knowledge of district policies and procedures.
Preferred qualifications include:
Prefer additional education and experience in an office environment.
