1.0 FTE – Lead Teacher – Alternative Learning Center – Beginning 8/29/16 POSITION: Lead Teacher Alternative Learning Center 1.00 FTE – 184 days + 10 extended days beginning August, 2016. RESPONSIBILITIES: Facilitates CST (Child Study). Compliance and monitoring of Special Education due process. Check Special Education files. Assists Special Ed teachers with questions. Attends all IEP meetings and planning assessments or summaries. Organizes staff development opportunities for SPED teachers and paras. Coordinates with other lead teachers regarding student placement. Facilitates ALC team meetings as needed. Attends/arranges interagency meetings as needed. Consults with teachers and paras in all disabilities areas. Responsible for SPED budget (materials and staff development). Develops/arranges 504 plans and 504 assessments. Communicates student issues with staff. Schedules support staff, itinerant staff schedules, work days and times communicated. Facilitates transition of special ed students from early childhood. Case manage assessments as needed. Conducts para training in the fall and periodically as needed or on inservice days (regular and special-needs training. In charge of para evaluations. Organizes and runs para meetings only as needed. Coordinates, schedules and supervises all paras. Student interventions for SAT and CST and parent communications. Meets with students as needed (for students beyond typical classroom management). Other duties as assigned.
Media/Technology Paraprofessional
This is a full-time position working eight (8) hours per day as a media/technology paraprofessional at Inver Grove Heights Middle School. The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following fundamental duties: *Assist professional staff in the research, ordering, processing, and maintaining of media and technology services acquisitions. *Assist professional staff in the supervision, instruction, and assessment of students as it relates to media and technology services areas. *Train and assist teachers and students in the processes of media circulation, check-out, check-in. *Assist in the scheduling and coordination of building technology resources including: computer labs, mobile labs, and shared audio-visual aids. *Assist professional staff in the management of reading incentive programs. *Assist professional staff in the management of budget, and preparation for ordering supplies and resource materials. *Assist staff and students with general reference questions, including assisting with Internet and other educational technology issues. *Assist staff and students with computer troubleshooting when appropriate, escalate and coordinate with Technology Department staff to resolve issues. *Assist in the set-up and preparation of computer labs for learning and assessment. *Assist professional staff in keeping the library and general check-out computer labs as vibrant and effective learning areas. *Assist professional staff in organization and maintenance of collections for efficient use. *Maintain and upgrade technical skills as needed or assigned. *Manage and maintain Catalog, Circulation, Patron and Report systems for media, AV, and technology resources. *Prepare overdue notices, and collect overdue or lost material fines.

Response to Intervention Lead Teacher
This is a non-affiliated position that will follow the teacher work calendar (194 days). Position Summary: Responsible for push-in and pull-out support in planning instruction and/or adaptation of the instructional program using the Response to Intervention (RtI) model to facilitate student learning in accordance with school policies and state guidelines. Design and implement specific strategies designed to promote intellectual and social growth in all identified intervention students. Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of specific RtI strategies and interventions in order to refine Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 levels of support.
