Description: Paraprofessional, Pool Support – West Junior High. Approximate dates are October 24, 2016 through end of February. Approximate hours are 7:30a to 2:30p Monday through Friday. Job Summary: Assist licensed teacher with supervising students in the pool area. Must be available to work the assigned dates and hours.

LOCATION(S): Spring Lake Park High School / Westwood Middle School DUTY DAYS: 185 START: September 6, 2016 HOURS: 15 hours per week / .25 FTE Job Summary: – Preferred applicant to be from an area college or university and – Applicant will be trained to use specific teaching methodologies and materials to work with AVID students. – AVID tutors should be role models of motivated, organized, successful college students who believe that all students will succeed. – Preferred that the tutor is enrolled at colleges or universities. – Tutors will work in a supportive manner with secondary students. They need to be advocates of students and be responsible to the teacher. – They must be willing to meet regularly to discuss student progress and to confer with the teacher about future planning for students. PREFERENCES: We strongly prefer candidates who have exhibited excellence in collaboration with colleagues and an enthusiasm to work with students. Preferred candidates will also have a demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning.
