ELL Teacher
Position: Middle School English Language Learner (ELL) Teacher Full-time, 10 months, Exempt Employee Summary: The English Language Learner (ELL) Teacher will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the English Language Learning program. The ELL Teacher works closely with faculty to build teachers’ expertise in instructing students who are English Language learners; works directly with students to support their learning needs; and communicates frequently with families providing them with information about language and literacy development and their students’ progress. Responsibilities: *Design and implement engaging instruction either in the general education classroom or in pull-out sessions that leads to English language fluency in both conversational and academic situations. *Administer annual English language assessments to students who are part of the ELL program. *Collaborate with classroom/content teachers to integrate instructional differentiation into content lessons and units. *Work with the ELL team to identify staff development needs in best practices in English language acquisition and plan workshops to meet those needs. *As needed, participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, IEP meetings, weekly academic and social student support meetings. *Maintain files for English Language Learning students that include assessment data, evidence of service provision, student work samples, and parent contact logs. *Remain up-to-date in English Language Learning/Bilingual Education law, regulations, research, and best practices.
Executive Director for Business Services
*Oversees and manages the functions of financial planning for the district, including the preparation of the annual budget for presentation to the superintendent and school board. *Oversees the financial status of the school system and use of its resources through sound business and management practices. *Keeps abreast of legal requirements and proposes changes if necessary. *Oversees the functions of purchasing, transportation, facilities, buildings and grounds and child nutrition services for educationally and financially sound budget controls. *Coordinates and manages the accounting and financial systems including operating, debt service, capital improvement, special revenue and other expenditures. *Coordinates and manages the preparation of financial reports for internal management use and for state and federal requirements. *Assists with the preparation of the school board agenda, oversees preparation of all documents and reports. *Provides cost analysis for all collective bargaining negotiations.
Special Education Teacher
Position: Special Education Teacher Full-time, 10 months, Exempt Employee Summary: The Special Education teacher performs professional work providing a broad range of teaching and direct instructional services or specific learning programs, assisting students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed as a foundation for future learning in accordance with each student’s ability, using a variety of teaching and learning methods at various levels to a targeted audience, and related work as apparent or assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily under the limited supervision of the Special Education Coordinator and Director of Teaching and Learning.
