The Transportation Compliance and Safety Manager shall be responsible for those tasks delegated by the Director of Operations, Executive Director of Finance and Support Services, Superintendent of Schools and School Board which are directly related to Transportation. These tasks include the over site of daily transportation operations to ensure departmental compliance with federal, state, local and district policies and regulations that govern licensure and best practice are up-to date and support a safe, efficient and fiscally sound department. Manager will work with the Superintendent’s office, building principals, other school employees, local and state law enforcement to ensure a well-maintained, safe, and secure environment for students and staff.

Licensed School Nurse
Description: Licensed School Nurse. Position works 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week) for 186 days per year following teacher’s schedule. This position starts in the 16/17 School Year. Job Summary: Assess individual student health needs; prepare health plans, delegate nursing and medical functions to other staff as appropriate for the task, individual student and staff person. Administer and document medications following district procedures. Maintain health records. Obtain immunization records for all students and complete state immunization reports. Perform nursing procedures such as tracheostomy care, gastrostomy care, diabetes management, and nebulization. Participate in the special education team, completing the health portion of special education evaluations & Individual Education plans, supervising PCAs and completing Medical Assistance billing procedures. The LSN works with the part-time LPN to assure staffing for health office and that a nurse accompanies students with nursing needs on field trips. The RN participates in regular LSN meetings and other projects/ committee representation as needed.
Permanent Building Substitute
Description: 1.0 FTE Elementary Substitute Teacher at Sun Path Elementary. Job Summary: Plan, teach, and carry out all functions related to teaching in an elementary school classroom setting. Teacher will be assigned to one of five elementary buildings as a substitute teacher. You will remain assigned for the year at the same elementary school. The principal will give you your daily assignment. You will be expected to follow the daily schedule for that elementary building. Once a month, you will be required to take a scheduled day off from the staff calendar.
