Substitute Teacher

The Minnesota Department of Corrections has an opening for a Substitute Teacher (Intermittent Special Teacher) at the Minnesota Correctional Facility-Stillwater. WORK SCHEDULE: This position will be on-call Monday through Friday as needed. This position provides Adult Basic Education, English Language Learning, General Equivalency Diploma, critical thinking skills and other life skills instruction in a well-managed and comprehensive instructional environment to support offender Personal Education Plans. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: -Provide appropriate and effective classroom instruction in an individualized manner to offender students when substituting in a literacy classroom. -Maintain a well-managed, comprehensive instructional environment to support offender Personal Education Plans. -Perform all administrative functions in a timely manner for accountability purposes. This position is located in a correctional facility and will have direct offender contact.
