STARTING DATE: July 1, 2015 WORK YEAR: 12 Month; Year Round Summary Lead effective communication and marketing efforts to increase participation in Community Education programs and services through creating marketing plans and designing and producing marketing materials to enhance the department’s presence and brand in the community. Assist with conducting needs assessments to identify emerging or unmet needs and interests of community members. Assist with program evaluation and grant writing as needed. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Marketing Create and oversee a marketing and communications plan for Community Education, including development and management of website, social media platforms, email marketing, flyers, catalogs, newsletters and news releases. Work with staff and community members in identifying key messages and audiences for individual program areas and the overall department. Design – Design and create catalogs, flyers, presentations and newsletters, as well as email marketing, website, communications, short videos and social media. Create brand recognition for Community Education print and electronic publications. Special Events – Support special events by working with staff to coordinate promotion efforts. Take photographs at special events and other Community Education activities. Needs Assessment/Evaluation – Assist with needs assessments to determine community interests and needs. Engage community members and partners in shaping new programs and services. Assist with program and department evaluation efforts. Grant Writing – Research and write grants which are a good fit for our department. Other duties as assigned.
