Two Substitute Teacher positions will be filled by consideration of all applicants to this posting. Each position will be on-call Monday through Friday from 7:15 am to 3:45 pm. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: -Provide appropriate and effective direct instruction in assigned subject areas so that residents receive educational programming appropriate to their needs and skill levels. -Perform all classroom administrative functions and support in a timely manner. -Maintain classroom record keeping. This position is located at a Minnesota Correctional Facility and will have direct contact with residents.

1.0 FTE – Lead Teacher – Alternative Learning Center – Beginning 8/29/16 POSITION: Lead Teacher Alternative Learning Center 1.00 FTE – 184 days + 10 extended days beginning August, 2016. RESPONSIBILITIES: Facilitates CST (Child Study). Compliance and monitoring of Special Education due process. Check Special Education files. Assists Special Ed teachers with questions. Attends all IEP meetings and planning assessments or summaries. Organizes staff development opportunities for SPED teachers and paras. Coordinates with other lead teachers regarding student placement. Facilitates ALC team meetings as needed. Attends/arranges interagency meetings as needed. Consults with teachers and paras in all disabilities areas. Responsible for SPED budget (materials and staff development). Develops/arranges 504 plans and 504 assessments. Communicates student issues with staff. Schedules support staff, itinerant staff schedules, work days and times communicated. Facilitates transition of special ed students from early childhood. Case manage assessments as needed. Conducts para training in the fall and periodically as needed or on inservice days (regular and special-needs training. In charge of para evaluations. Organizes and runs para meetings only as needed. Coordinates, schedules and supervises all paras. Student interventions for SAT and CST and parent communications. Meets with students as needed (for students beyond typical classroom management). Other duties as assigned.
