School Psychologist (2205)
The School Psychologist provides educational evaluations and consultation to children, parents, teachers, and staff regarding the prevention and/or interventions which impact the education of students. Specific job duties include- -Individual cognitive, academic and emotional/social assessments for students with disabilities to ensure that students meet state and federal eligibility requirements for special education services. -Assessing students in order to determine eligibility for special education services or continuing need for special education services. -Ensures that proper procedures, methods and timelines are followed in accordance with federal laws, Minnesota statutes, and other guidelines. -Consultation to special and regular education personnel on programs for students with disabilities -Assist in development of and provide continued support in students’ Individual Education Programs (IEP’s), including the development of Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Positive Behavior Intervention Plans (PBIP). -Participate in site-based Problem Solving Teams to develop intervention strategies and supports. -Assist with school crisis prevention and crisis intervention and recovery (PREPaRE). Description: Full timeECSETeacher – Birth-2at the Central Family Center. Job Summary: ECSE B-2 Early Intervention Teacher will work with young children with developmental delays from birth to age 2 and their families in a home visiting model. This position is on a year-round stretch calendar.
Executive Director of Student Support Services, 1.0 FTE
1. Provide leadership for special education, health services, social work, psychological services, English language learner services, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, alternative programs, prevention services, and homebound tutoring services. 2. Develop and maintain School Board policies, District protocols, and operational plans related to student support services that are in compliance with state and federal law and are consistent with the District’s vision, mission, and strategic plan. 3. Serves as a member of the Superintendent’s Cabinet as the leader of district-wide student support services issues and strategies. 4. Develop and complete mutual commitments tied directly to the District’s Strategic Plan 5. Coordinate staffing for student support services including determining staffing levels, coordinating hiring process and making recommendations for all licensed student support services staff. 6. Oversee training and development for all student support services staff. 7. Ensure performance of all student support services staff including completing performance appraisals and addressing performance concerns. 8. Oversee all student support services budgets. 9.
