Dakota County Secondary Consortium Perkins Coordinator
Dakota County Secondary Perkins Coordinator Approximately 600 hours per year, as contracted services Location: Office at ISD 917, 1300 145th St East, Rosemount MN Date of Availability: July 1, 2016 Date Closing: May 9, 2016 Responsibilities: 1.Collaboratively facilitate development of the annual local unified secondary/postsecondary Perkins consortium plan and budget 2.Manage consortium activities and budget to meet the unified goals of the consortium, Minnesota’s five goals for Career Technical Education (CTE) and the requirements of the Perkins Law. 3.Submit Annual Performance Report (APR) 4.Negotiate annual Perkins accountability performance targets with state CTE staff. 5.Provide, or arrange with State CTE leadership to provide, technical assistance and professional development to assist consortium partners with achieving consortium goals and meeting negotiated Perkins performance indicators. 6.Coordinate development and implementation of programs of study, technical skill assessments, and articulation agreements among high schools and the two-year MnSCU college partner in the Consortium. 7.Participate in the state leadership conferences 8.Complete required MDE/MNSCU Perkins activities by required deadlines. 9.Collaborate with DCTC Perkins coordinator for consortium planning and organization. 10.Plan, coordinate, and facilitate monthly consortium meetings. 11.Communicate Perkins activities to the nine member school district staff and administration. 12.Other duties as required to fulfill Perkins requirements.
1st Grade LTS Teacher
Description: Full Time long term substitute Grade 1 Elementary Teacher at Eagle Creek Elementary. Approximately May 16th through June 10th. Job Summary: Duties related to planning and instruction for a 1st Grade classroom.
Reading/Language Arts Teacher
Description: 1.0 FTE Reading/Language Arts Teacher for Pearson Sixth Grade Center. This position is for the 16/17 school year only. Job Summary: Position includes teaching Reading and Language Arts courses to sixth grade students. This teacher could also be responsible for teaching a section of Honors Reading and Language Arts. Responsibilities include preparation, implementation, assessment, and communication of district curriculum. Must be able to work collaboratively and cooperatively with other teachers.
Special Education Teacher – DCD – Homebound
Homebound Teacher Position Area – Special Education – DCD District – wide 1.25 hours per day This teacher would provide educational services to a homebound student up to 6 hours per week. License Required – K – 12 Special Education, DCD preferred. Start Date: August 22, 2016 End Date: June 09, 2017 Salary according to the Master Agreement, Schedule C.
Nurse Paraprofessional
Hours/Day: 6.5 hours Days/Year: 180 days Classification: Level V Essential Functions: Administers medication to students assigned, according to nursing practice standards and school district policies and procedures. Administers specialized health care procedures, as delegated by the licensed school nurse and according to nursing practice standards. Implements emergency care plan for an assigned student, if an emergency condition is present. Provides first aid and health care to students, according to school district policies, guidelines and procedures. Provides assistance for students with personal care needs, including feeding, toileting, dressing and hygiene needs. Provides assistance for students with safety and mobility needs in the school setting and on field trips. Makes observations and monitoring the health status of students and makes a referral to the school nurse, when indicated, in the student’s individualized healthcare plan, emergency care plan and in district guidelines or when further assessment is needed. Reports changes in a student’s health status to parents/guardians and licensed school nurse. Maintains health information on students, including administration of medications and specialized health care procedures according the nursing practice standards and school district policy and procedures. Escorts students to classes and therapy; provides supervision on students am/pm bus ride. Communicates with parents/guardians according to student’s individualized health care plan, emergency plan and school district guidelines. Communicates with educational staff and licensed school nurse to meet the health and safety needs of students assigned, within the school setting and on field trips. Collects data on assigned students, for behavior, academics and health related objectives on their Individualized Educational Plans. Provides academic and behavioral support to assigned students, under the direction of student’s special education case manager and classroom teachers, including field trips and community based instruction. Participates in staff development and school heath services training. Creates a positive relationship with the customer and ensure the interaction the customer has with the district is an efficient and satisfying experience. Collaborates with related services personnel. Provides support in community for work based learning related to IEP goals and objectives. Provides proper storage of medications, equipment and supplies. Maintains confidentiality of all school and health related issues according to school district policy and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
