APPLICATION DEADLINE:Until positions are filled POSITION:Licensed School Nurses, Alliance Education Center in Rosemount MN, Lebanon Education Center in Apple Valley MN, Cedar School in Eagan MN and various Dakota County MN locations STARTING DATE:August, 2016 RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Manage the care of individual students with special health needs and/or mental health needs through assessment, planning and evaluation. Interpret health findings for educational staff regarding impact of health concerns on learning and accommodations required at school. Interpret to medical providers the school related needs of the students. 2.Conduct health reviews and school nurse health assessments (when necessary) on students being evaluated for special education or receiving special education services. 3.Participate on IEP (Individual Education Plan) team for students with health/sensory/physical concerns or impairments that may interfere with learning including providing special education related services (direct and/or indirect) in the area of health/physical when needed. 4.Develop and implement individual health plans and emergency health plans for students with handicapping health conditions that require accommodations to attend school. 5.Perform skilled nursing procedures and delegate nursing care procedures when appropriate including planning, training, monitoring and supervision of delegation using clear written plans for delegates to follow. 6.Assist students and families in obtaining health care in the community by referrals to appropriate agencies. 7.Conduct staff trainings on health related topics.

APPLICATION DEADLINE:Until position is filled POSITION:Special Education Teachers, TEA Program, Lebanon Education Center, (elementary and secondary age students), Apple Valley MN STARTING DATE:August, 2016 RESPONSIBILITIES:1.Develop and implement individual educational plans in accordance with district practice and child study procedures. 2.Create a positive learning environment that focuses on the mental health needs of the students. 3.Work cooperatively with team members. In coordination with mental health practitioner, give direction to paraprofessionals assigned to the team. 4.Participate in interdisciplinary teaming and provide home consultation as needed. 5.Comply with School Board policies, and administrative practice, including those procedures outlined in the Special Education Staff and Parent Handbooks.
