Administrative Dean Chaska Middle School East For specific information contact: Jim Bach at [email protected] Position Start Date: August 2016 Banded/Graded: D-6-1 Days/FTE: 195 days Reports To: Building Principal Major Job Functions: The Administrative Dean is responsible for providing assistance to the Principal in the general administration and management of the building. The Administrative Dean is the primary administrator and coordinator of the day to day student management and attendance matters. The Administrative Dean will also assist the principal in hiring and supervising staff and in providing instructional leadership and staff development opportunities for staff. Complete Job Description: See website Education/Certification Requirements: *Must possess or be eligible for a valid license as a principal in the State of Minnesota Experience Requirements: *Exemplary teaching and/or administrative experience (Secondary experience preferred) Benefits: As defined by the parameters of the Principal Association to include: *The amount of $7,750 annually will be available for the Administrative Dean to distribute as he/she designates among benefits (health insurance, dental insurance). The Administrative Dean must enroll in at least single health coverage. *Term life insurance policy equal to $150,000.00, the employee may purchase additional coverage (accidental death and dismemberment or supplemental life.) *District contribution to Deferred Compensation Plan:$500 per year (Tenured 9 years) $700 per year ( 10 – 18 years) $900 per year (19+ years) *Long Term Disability: district pays premium to cover 50% of employee’s salary. *Professional Development: District contribution of $750 per year *Professional Association Dues: District pays for one State and one National association. *Twelve (12) days of Personal Time off (PTO) are granted per year. Grade 5. $16.53/hr Job Summary: Provide support in the area of technology for staff and students so that the overall district educational objectives may be achieved. *Completes tasks and projects on site following protocols as assigned by the Supervisor of Support and Technology Support Manager. *Supports building-level technology through the district Help Desk service and responds to staff requests. *Maintains systems including the installation of equipment and hardware/software upgrades following established protocols. *Supports existing technology including computer workstations, mobile devices, video/audio equipment and other peripheral devices. *Communicates and collaborates with the Technology Support Team to problem solve hardware, software, and network issues. *Remains current in software and hardware trends. *Answer the Help Desk phone number and provides assistance when able or devotes resources to remedy the staff’s technology issues. *Provide training for students and staff on software applications used by students. *Assists with training on software applications utilized by staff in real time and through virtual or web-based training. *Assists in the development and upkeep of instructional manuals on hardware and software use. *Assists as needed in installing, building, upgrading, and maintaining assistive technology hardware and software for students and staff. e.g. Text to Speech *Preview individualized technology equipment, devices, computers, computer software, and other materials. *Aids in the implementation of new technology and information systems.
