Director of Community Education

Job Summary: Provides leadership to, and works in collaboration with, the cabinet and the school board to improve policies and procedures which support an equitable environment for all students and staff. Supports the development, implementation and evaluation of the District’s equity vision. Promotes human resource practices to increase diversity of staff and employee satisfaction. Duties & Responsibilities: *Directs an inter-cultural developmental equity training plan which uses a common language framework to promote explicit conversation in problem solving and planning for better student outcomes. Acts as a resource on equity issues for faculty in their work with students and in curriculum and program development. *Provides equity leadership and monitoring to District curriculum review teams. Works with Educational Services to provide direction for selection of curriculum materials that will enhance the Equity Vision and district mission. *Evaluates and reviews student programming to ensure adherence to the District Equity Vision. Works in collaboration with other District administrators, principals and building teams to analyze student data and recommend equitable practices to improve student outcomes. *Acts as a resource and recommends strategies on equity issues in the areas of staff recruitment and retention to HR department and administrators. *Leads the development, implementation and integration of inter cultural competence in district-wide evaluation systems. *Coordinates District partnerships within the greater Minneapolis/St Paul community focused on equity. May work as a liaison between Northeast Metro 916 and member districts to promote and support equity efforts across the collaborative. *Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Institution Educational Supervisor

Position Title: Institution Educational Supervisor Working Title: Education Director-Aspen/Pine Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm Compensation: $30.02 – $44.84 /hourly; $62,682 – $93,626 /annually + comprehensive benefits Job duties: In conjunction with the Education Director Rogers Building, this position provides effective leadership and management of educational programs and resources at MCF-FRB with the goal of meeting each offender’s educational needs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: -Provide effective administrative leadership and administration of offender educational programs and services in the Aspen/Pine Building to ensure that the educational needs of offenders are met in accordance with DOC philosophy, policy, and procedure at MCF-FRB. -Monitor Education infrastructure and assist in managing budgets for educational programs and services at MCF-FRB. -Provide supervisory oversight of all career technical programming at MCF-FRB. Assist the Education Director-Rogers Building with overseeing literacy education programming at MCF-FRB. -Administer personnel practices, directives, and instructions in the management of human resources so that applicable labor agreements and plans are equitably administered and employees effectively perform assigned job duties to achieve the objectives of the MCF-FRB Operations unit. -Provide public relations services to ensure accurate and positive presentation of the Education Unit. This position has direct contact with offenders.
