Job summary: Provides requested “on-the-spot” user assistance, training, and support to district staff and administration for a variety standard office software and database applications. Design, create, and distributes training documentation for our third-party software applications. Develops and provides scheduled user training for our Student Information System. Collaborate with Technical Support Specialists, Technical ESP’s, the Repair Department and Network personnel to insure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities and tasks include:
Application support of our student information system, including user training, and software problem solving, on-site and hotline support.
Provide customer support for standard application software; and building, grade level, or curriculum software as required.
Establish and maintain troubleshooting and quality control procedures.
Collaborate with teammates to insure all District service levels and commitments are met.
Remain current in software updates and technology advances.
Actively participate in department work groups and team troubleshooting initiatives.
Providing technical support to District users of the Student Information Systems.
Investing, researching, documenting, reporting encountered that effect Osseo’s use of the Student Data Systems.
Creating training materials and instructions to system users.
Minimum qualifications include:
High school graduate or equivalent.
?Verification of successful completion of an accredited course of study related to computer science and/or equivalent experience in technical support of software.
Minimum of three years of experience with web application processing;
Coursework in Computer application support, or a closely related field
Knowledge, skills, and abilities include:
Strong customer service orientation – dedication to customer needs; understanding the customer’s sense of urgency.
High level of comfort and skill in the use of a variety of software packages on which they operate.
Demonstrate initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
Excellent organizational skills in prioritizing and documenting needs.
Ability to work under pressure.
Flexibility, resilience, and tolerance for ambiguity.
Preferred qualifications include:
Post-secondary degree in computer-related field.
