ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
CENTENNIAL HIGH SCHOOL
CENTENNIAL SCHOOL DISTRICT is the connecting hub for the communities of Blaine, Centerville, Circle Pines, Lexington and Lino Lakes, located 20 minutes north of Minneapolis and St. Paul. RESPONSIBILITIES:
In collaboration with the high school principal, assists in providing leadership in the following areas:
*learning climate
*curriculum and instruction
*school-community relations
*supervision and evaluation
*resource management
*school activities
*staff development
*mediation, discipline and attendance
*testing facilitation and management
*Perkins and 916 facilitation
*alternative education coordination
*other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must hold a valid Minnesota license as a secondary school principal or be in the process of completing the requirements for a license.
A minimum of one (1) year of recent successful educational leadership experience is required.
Recent successful experience at the level of assistant principal or higher is preferred.
Proven strong skills in inter-personal communications required.
Demonstrated skills in any of the following areas preferred: collaborative decision making, supervision, evaluation, curriculum development, planning and motivation.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the school board may find appropriate and acceptable.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Start Date: July 1, 2023
Salary is consistent with the current principals’ master agreement.
