POSITION:
Varsity Head Coach- Volleyball
–Compensation in accordance with Centennial Schools Teacher Contract- Schedule B
Season Dates: 13 weeks- August 14, 2023 – November 12, 2023
DUTIES:
Oversee all aspects of the Centennial High School Girls Volleyball program including but not limited to setting up practices, meets, and schedules for the program; supervision of athletes at practices and meets; care and maintenance of program equipment; arranging team transportation; willingness to work in collaboration with the Centennial Volleyball Booster Club and regular meetings with other coaches to evaluate goals of the overall program. Must be able to adjust work schedule for practices and games.
Preferences:
A BA/BS Degree and MN Teacher License with coaching certificate highly preferred.
Qualifications:
A strong background in high school, collegiate, and/or club volleyball as a participant and coach is required. Strong work ethic and dedication to furthering the benefits of participation in co-curricular activities. Leadership skills including but not limited to organization, vision, motivation, and conflict resolution. Ability to work collaboratively with student athletes, parents, staff, and community.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must hold a valid 9-12 Social Studies teaching license in the State of Minnesota.

Position Overview:
Under the supervision of the Director of Special Services, manages the implementation of special services programming and continuously oversees staff and students (ages B – 21) in ISD 200. The Assistant Director plays a pivotal leadership role in creating & sustaining an effective environment conducive to the education for all learners. This responsibility is performed following District policy and State/Federal Laws.
Required Qualifications:
- Minnesota Licensure as a Director of Special Education
- Thorough knowledge of of the requirements of IDEA and 504
- Ability to work well as a member of a districtwide administrative leadership team
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Licensure in at least one special education teaching field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Successful experience in special education administrative or supervisory role (e.g. coordinator, supervisor, director)
- Direct experience with formal dispute resolution in special education
- Familiarity with MDE compliance & monitoring process
- Experience and/or knowledge of early childhood special education (Part C) programming & due process requirements
- Track record of supervising and evaluating staff
- Strong technical ability, especially in the Google suite of web-based utilities
Knowledge of SpEd Forms program - Specific knowledge and experience with center-based programming and positive behavior interventions and supports.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, manage and develop special education programs and related areas
- Supervision & coordination of Elementary and ECSE programming
- ESY organization and oversight
- Supervision, work assignment and management of the paraprofessional group districtwide
- Collaborate with and work closely with the Director of Special Services and building principals in addressing special education licensed staff evaluations, hiring, and personnel actions
- Organize and implement staff development opportunities for special education staff
- District coordinator for 504’s
- Assist with the training & orientation of newly-hired staff (i.e. teachers & paraprofessionals)
- Serve as the district representative at a variety of local, county, and state meetings, including IEP meetings for students placed out of district (e.g. 917), meetings for non-public students, and IEIC.
- Guide and oversee child find and child study systems in District 200
- Mediate conflicts within IEP teams and manage the dispute resolution process to assure compliance standards have been met
- Aid licensed staff with due process related issues, including SpedForms questions
- Assist the Director of Special Services with reviewing files, training staff, and organizing to help MDE monitoring (MNCIMP) run smoothly
- Other duties as assigned
