GIFTED AND TALENTED SERVICES TEACHER
1.0 FTE –Rice Lake Elementary                 Starting August 21, 2023
8 AM – 4 PM

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must hold a valid elementary education- K-6 teaching license in the State of Minnesota.
Teachers must be able to demonstrate the highest commitment to student achievement and effective development.
Teachers must have the willingness to adapt to becoming part of a total school effort in educating our students.
Teachers must have a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with other staff members, students and parents in providing and promoting positive relationships.
Teachers must be of the highest integrity with a strong commitment to modeling excellence in all aspects of the teacher/student/parent relationships.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

WAGES:
Candidates will be placed on the teacher contract and will receive benefits according to the CEA contract.

English Language Arts – 6th Grade

Minimum Requirements:

Must have a valid MN English Language Arts license or able to obtain the appropriate license from PELSB, Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board.  Preferred license: 5-12 Communication Arts & Literature; 5-8 Communication Arts & Literature or K-6 Elementary Education.

Qualifications:

Assistant Principal at Groveland Elementary (Minnetonka Public Schools)

Summary/Primary Objective of Position:
Under the supervision of the Elementary School Principal, the Elementary School Assistant Principal provides assistance with instructional leadership, supervision, and management in implementing the policies of the School Board and district administration in the teaching, learning, and other activities at each Elementary School.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the principal in providing leadership in the development of and the fulfillment of the school’s vision, mission, and goals.
  2. Serve as a member of the District’s administrative team, actively participate in the development, implementation, and achievement of District goals including overseeing assessment at the building level, and serve as the principal’s liaison at school and professional public meetings in the principal’s absence.
  3. Responsible for working with students including disciplinary issues, making necessary referrals, and communicating directly with parents, as appropriate.
  4. Actively participate in the recruitment, selection, staff development, and evaluation of teaching and paraprofessional staff members.
  5. Actively participate in the SST process, help support teachers and students with intervention strategies.
  6. Communicate with parents, community members, and parent organizations concerning school programs and activities.
  7. Share responsibility for building security, property and persons.
  8. Develop and complete mutual commitments tied directly to District goals.
  9. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level

Job Functions

Provide assistance and leadership in completing Functional Behavior Assessments as determined by the IEP team.
Consult with other educators, staff and parents in developing specialized educational programs for students.

Consult with other educators, staff and parents in the management and data collection around results of specialized programs.will remain open until filled.

Assist in making changes and adjustments to instructional techniques and accommodations and modifications for students.
Participate with families at school conferences and IEP meetings with parents when needed.
Communicate with appropriate teachers and other district staff personnel as necessary on educational matters.
Promote family attendance and involvement in school conferences and events.
Provide education to families as requested by the principal, teacher, or district staff.
Promote full consideration of individual needs of learners with disabilities in the academic environment.

Adhere to all district policies and procedures.
