General Definition of Work
Performs intermediate professional work submitting student and district data via MARSS (EDFI) to the State and Federal governments; overseeing the entry and retrieval of data to ensure proper funding; acting as a liaison between the District and state representatives to clear up data inconsistencies, and related work as apparent or assigned.  Work is performed under the general direction of the Secondary Principal, Finance Coordinator, Director of Student Services and Superintendent.

Essential Functions
Send and retrieve student electronic information to the state using the state and federal government guidelines.
Oversee district MARSS (EDFI) protocols and work with representatives of the state and other school districts to resolve issues relating to student enrollment data.  Serves as primary point of contact and technical expertise for end user support and training on MARSS (EDFI).
Assist the finance department with implementation of internal and external procedures to ensure all student demographic data and state/federal mandated coding is input in an accurate and timely manner.
Maintains contact with other MN school districts to ensure MARSS (EDFI) data is current and correct; submits error free data to the State in order to obtain accurate district reports.
Develops manuals and instructions to assist and train all school staff with data entry and proper MARSS and other data coding (when applicable); performs quality assurance checks to ensure data is correct.
Creates, prepares, and analyzes government and other related reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Coordinates with district administrators to ensure that data is being reported accurately; monitors the quality of the district’s student records prior to their submission to the state by auditing internal error reports; corrects errors in the district system to ensure accurate reporting; identifies data problems and how they might be fixed (mass or individual record fixes); determines priorities on which errors must be corrected first in order that the district receives maximum funding.
Works closely with the Superintendent and administrators to maximize the financial benefits to the district from MARSS (EDFI) data.
Serves as a resource relating to programs that have unique requirements to ensure coding is appropriate.
Keeps the state informed of school name changes, principal changes, address changes or school openings and closings; maintains ADMWE and annual directory information with MDE.
Runs the administrative side of Infinite Campus for the secondary school and assists the principal and counselor in the development of the master schedule.
Performs quality checks and analysis on tuition billing and district data to maximize financial benefits for the district.
All other duties as assigned.

School Psychologist/Building Lead

Date of Availability: 2023-2024

Position is full-time, for the 2023-2024 school year and part of the teacher bargaining unit and based at Mahtomedi High School.  Salary and benefits part of the Master Agreement.

Job Summary:

Mahtomedi Public Schools is seeking a talented School Psychologist to join our team at Mahtomedi High school. Candidates with leadership experience or potential are preferred as this position also serves as the building/department lead and works closely with the building principals and Director of Student Support Services. An additional stipend is provided for performing building lead responsibilities. This position typically has 30 – 40 evaluations per year.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts psychological assessments, functional behavioral analysis
  • Facilitates communication between teachers, administrators, parents and students to find solutions to academic, behavioral, and mental health problems
  • Provides psychological counseling based on IEP goals and objectives
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of academic and behavioral management programs being used; disseminates research for use in evaluations and programs
  • Provide leadership to staff and administration in the areas of Multi-Tier Systems of support (MTSS)
  • Facilitate data-team (screening/progress monitoring) and child-study team (individual problem-solving) meetings
  • Building’s contact person for communication between buildings or programs
  • Serve as knowledgeable resource for team members regarding due process rules and procedures
  • Collaborate with building administration to identify building specific special education needs and plan to address these needs
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by the Director of Student Support Services
