Stillwater Area Public Schools are currently seeking a 1.0 FTE Agriscience Teacher to work at Stillwater Area High School for the 2023-2024 school year.

Location / Facilities / Partnerships:

Located in historic Stillwater in the scenic St. Croix River Valley.
Recently fully remodeled classroom / lab (1,670 sf); Aquatics lab (580 sf); Greenhouse (900 sf); Headhouse (300 sf); and prep area (220 sf).
40 acre Environmental Learning Center adjacent to the high school site with forests, ponds, and prairies.
Partnerships with Brown’s Creek Watershed and MN Trout Unlimited with access to Brown’s Creeks (4 miles) for stream sampling and trout stocking.
Department / Curriculum / School Support:

Agriscience courses are part of the STEM and Environment Pathway (link to video)
Courses in Department: Animal Care and Management, Veterinary Science, CIS Animal Science, Biotechnology, Growing Green, Floral Design, Fish and Wildlife, Sustaining our Environment and Food Science (Exact courses will depend on Student enrollment).

Elementary Cheer Coach

Centennial Elementary Cheer Coach

Season Dates: 
 
October 2023-January 2024 – 1 evening practice a week in from October to late January with 2-3 competition dates.  Additional Friday practices added in December and January for competition prep.

Job Responsibilities:
1.    Provide leadership and guidance for all cheer participants.
2.    Attend and coach practices, weekend competitions, and community events.
3.    Collaborate with assistant coaches to organize, set – up, and ensure a safe practice or competition.
4.    Help all participants to develop to their full potential.
5.    Implement age appropriate program philosophies, goals, policy and procedures.
7.    Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
8.    Promote sportsmanship and respect for judges, teams, parents, fans, athletes, administrators and fellow competitors.

 

Job Qualifications
1.    Complete concussion training as required by law.
2.    Prior experience in cheer is required.
3.    Evidence of successful coaching experience; ability to teach fundamental skills.
4.    Positive, enthusiastic, respectful attitude
5.    Strong communication skills.
6.    Proven ability to work with students, parents, and staff.
7.    Commitment to program’s high standards
8.    Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
9.    AACCA completion is preferred

 

Payment:
$18- $20 per hour.  Stipends for competitions

Assistant Coach, Girl Lacrosse

Season Dates:  April 3, 2023- June 15, 2023

Duties:  Assist the varsity head coach with all aspects of the Spring Lake Park Girls Lacrosse Program including but not limited to setting up practices, games, and schedules for the program; supervision of athletes at practices and games.; care and maintenance of program equipment; arranging team transportation; working with booster club and regular meetings with other coaches to evaluate goals of the overall  program.  Must be able to adjust work schedule for practices and games.

Preferences: 

A BA/BS Degree and MN Teaching License with coaching certificate OR equivalent and previous experience working with high school age students. Previous experience as a player and/or coach.

Qualifications: 

A strong background in high school and/or club lacrosse competition as a player and or coach is required.  Strong work ethic and dedication to furthering the benefits of participation in co-curricular activities.  Leadership skills including but not limited to organization, vision, motivation, and conflict resolution.  Ability to work with student athletes, parents, staff, and community.

6.5 hr/day- Special Education Paraprofessional
Blue Heron Elementary School

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, supervision of students indoors and/or out of doors, tutoring students under the direct supervision of a teacher, general classroom clerical support, assisting students with hygiene needs, facilitating behavioral redirection and intervention, physically transferring students and assisting in ACE instructional job responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities
Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:

Under the direction of the OST Youth Programs Coordinator and daily guidance of the OST Manager, the Child Care Aide assists in the set up of the child care location and environment in preparation for daily program events, activities, and functions.  The Child Care Aide assists in implementing and monitoring activities to assure the safety of participants and staff, the adherence to program rules and guidelines, and the quality of service.

We strongly prefer candidates who have exhibited excellence in collaboration with colleagues and an enthusiasm to work with students.  Preferred candidates will also have a demonstrated commitment to growth as evidenced by ongoing professional learning, as well as participation in professional organization conferences or seminars related to the content area.
