Health Services Supervisor

The Health Services Supervisor will:

  • Establish and monitor pupil health record systems;
  • Develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal laws;
  • Recruit, interview and make hiring recommendations for health services personnel;
  • Assist Registered Nurses in writing Individual Health Plans;
  • Assist with third-party billing;
  • Advise Student Services Director regarding appropriate level of health care needed for some students;
  • Monitor equipment needed and budget requests from individual buildings;
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with community health partners;
  • Update health service procedures including blood borne pathogen procedures on an annual basis;
  • Plan and organize orientation and in-service training for health services personnel;
  • Consult/provide input for wellness and health committees, safety and emergency preparedness committees;
  • Supervise and collaboratively evaluate health services personnel;
  • Additional related duties as assigned

Job Summary: The Soccer Coach is employed to help each participating student achieve a high level of involvement in class activities and sport related events and to responsibly supervise all activities ensuring appropriate student conduct. Student behavior should follow expectations as outlined in the school’s student handbook. To instruct student athletes in the fundamentals, rules, strategies and physical training needed for individual and team success that leads to pride, self-confidence and self discipline.

Position Duties, Responsibilities and Minimum Expectations:
The following functions are considered essential to this position:

1. Coaches will plan, schedule and implement a regular program of training and attend all practices, competitions, meetings and activities for each sport. Head coaches are responsible to train, delegate to, communicate with, encourage professional development of and supervise any Assistant Coaches for the sport.
2. Unless otherwise excused, each person accepting a coaching assignment will be expected to attend all practices and games.
3. Supervise approximately 40 student athletes at practices and competitions. Maintains discipline, addresses grievances and works to create good morale, cooperation and team unity.
4. Coaches will communicate and coordinate on a regular basis with the Community Education Coordinator.
5. Provides training rules and any other regulations and requirements to each athlete.

Stipend amount $1690

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must hold a valid 7 – 12 Math teaching license in the State of Minnesota.
Teachers must be able to demonstrate the highest commitment to student achievement and effective development.
Teachers must have the willingness to adapt to becoming part of a total school effort in educating our students.
Teachers must have a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with other staff members, students and parents in providing and promoting positive relationships.
Teachers must be of the highest integrity with a strong commitment to modeling excellence in all aspects of the teacher/student/parent relationships.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

WAGES:
Candidates will be placed on the teacher contract and will receive benefits according to the CEA
