Educational Support Professionals (ESP) – Paraprofessionals in Special Education

School Nurses & Licensed Practical Nurses

Our RNs provide emergency care for sick or injured school children, assess the health status of students and school personnel, advise students, parents and staff regarding health issues, and conduct preventive and health education services. Substitute Teachers

In the absence of the classroom teacher, the substitute teacher provides instruction, encourages student progress, and manages the learning environment.

Minimum Qualifications include: Bachelor’s Degree or higher and a Valid Minnesota Short Call Substitute Teacher License. Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

Salary: $150/day; Osseo Area Schools Retirees receives $175/day

Teacher – Equity

Job Summary:  To inspire and prepare each and every scholar with confidence, courage and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to community; and engage in a lifetime of learning by providing professional development and teacher leadership of racial equity programming for sites across the system. The purpose of this position is to serve as professional development experts and consultants in racial equity, culturally relevant instruction, and the common equity practices found in schools and districts that achieve and sustain equitable student achievement.

Minimum Qualifications include:

Three years of professional level classroom teaching experience in K-12 education requiring contact with racially, culturally, and economically diverse populations.  Evidence of racially equitable culturally relevant classroom teaching experience in K-12 education. Evidence of providing professional development focused on the elimination of racialized achievement gaps, improved cultural relevancy, and equitable student achievement.  45 hours of training in racial equity and cultural relevancy.  Current Minnesota teaching license.

Secondary Business Manager

JOB SUMMARY:  Coordinate and direct operational building management in the secondary schools.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS INCLUDED:  The essential functions of this job include, but are not limited to, the following fundamental job duties:

•         Implement the budget planning and fiscal management activities as determined by the coordinator.
•         Direct the ordering and receiving of all materials and supplies according to district guidelines.
•         Manage the property accounting system according to district procedures.
•         Provide financial management assistance and training to district and building administrators.
•         Identify, plan, and develop methods and procedures to obtain greater efficiency for expenditure tracking and resource management.
•         Review for approval special funded contracts and business forms for the operations coordinator.
•         Monitor compliance with all school district, state, federal and grant policies, procedures and requirements.
•         Other duties as assigned by the coordinator.

RELATIONSHIPS:

REPORTS TO: Coordinator, Pre K-12 Operations

WORKS WITH: Principals, Assistant principal(s), Directors, Coordinators, various building and ESC staff as required

SUPERVISES: N/A

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in related field.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES:

•   Ability to supervise and evaluate personnel.
•   Ability to task analyze, produce detailed plans, and evaluate effectiveness of processes.
•   Knowledge of school accounting (UFARS) and federal accounting systems.
•   Ability to work with diverse community groups.
•   Knowledge of technology as it relates to the budgeting process.
•   Ability to interact effectively with staff, students, parents and community members.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE INCLUDE: School business or other related experience preferred in school finance systems and student records/scheduling.

Information Technology Specialist

GENERAL PURPOSE:

To provide computer and technical support to the school and ensure all technology needs are met which includes making sure programs are running efficiently and safely.

 

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

·        Minimum Education: Associate’s degree in an information technology related field

·        Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in an information technology related field

·        Minimum of 4 years prior Information Technology experience required

·        Prior experience supporting, implementing and/or administering networks

·        Knowledge of state/national testing procedures and proper set-up

·        Excellent communication skills

·        Excellent organization skills

 

PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Implementation, support and inventory control of applications used

·        Upgrades, installs and troubleshoots networks, networking hardware devices and software

·        Maintains inventory of equipment and parts as well as documentation of vendor activities

·        Develops and documents system standards for computer and network devices

·        Develops and implements the most efficient and cost-effective solutions

·        Evaluates system specifications for business requirements

·        Develops and prepares computer solutions

·        Works closely with Superintendent and the CEO to prioritize goals and information needs

·        Efficiently identifies and solves project issues

·        Strong organizational, presentation and customer service skills required

·        Follows other duties as assigned senior administration

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

·        Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

·        Maintains strong attention to detail in high-pressure situations

·        Solid understanding of Noble Academy’s practices with fundamental understanding of project management methodology

·        Operational knowledge of Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 and Google Gsuite/Office 365 usage and upkeep

·        Knowledge of IP Security Camera systems and management.

·        Ability to troubleshoot desktop, server, and network issues in a timely manner.

·        Ability to setup and configure Windows Domain services and Active Directory.

·        Ability to adjust to educational roles according to building needs.

·        Knowledge of Apple School Manager (ASM), Mosyle and other Mobile Device Management (MDM).

·        Knowledge of Cisco Meraki Network devices

·        Experience with Technology Risk Management and District Wide Security Mitigation Planning
