Minnehaha Academy Office of Advancement is seeking a Gift Officer. This is a 12-month, full time position.

The Gift Officer serves the critical role of establishing and deepening relationships with key constituents capable of supplying the school with essential resources required to:

  • enrich student learning and professional development, serve local communities, strengthen and deepen relationships and loyalty, and advance the school and its national footprint
  • grow endowment and increase fundraising
  • support a bustling enrollment at all divisions, with a diverse student body that understands and embraces the mission of the school

The Gift Officer will have a portfolio of 125-150 prospects for which they will plan and develop personalized communication, cultivation, and stewardship in order to solicit and bring to closure annual fund, capital and legacy gifts. They will serve a critical role to meet or exceed annual gift income goals while providing excellence in stewardship to maximize retention and encourage upgraded future giving and involvement.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Cook – Middle School – 6 hours/day 183 days/year

RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists the cook manager as needed with the school meal program book work, daily recording of food served, ingredients used and numbers served.
Stores and inventories all food and supplies.
Performs all phases of kitchen positions, including cleanup, dish washing and sanitation.
Cooks foodstuffs in quantities according to menu and number of persons to be served.
Monitors meals served to ensure proper food handling and portion control.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma and 2 years school food service experience or equivalent. Certification of level 2 or higher by American School Food Service Association standards, certified in Serv-Safe from the National Restaurant Association or equivalent as accepted by the School Board.

Special Education Paraprofessional

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, supervision of students indoors and/or out of doors, tutoring students under the direct supervision of a teacher, general classroom clerical support, assisting students with hygiene needs, facilitating behavioral redirection and intervention, physically transferring students and assisting in ACE instructional job responsibilities. DESCRIPTION:
8 hrs/day, Monday through Friday, year round at Rice Lake Elementary
Starting 8/29/2022 or sooner

This position will support the preschool classroom at Rice Lake Elementary and work Kids Club on non-school days and in the summer. Hours are subject to change based on Kids Club enrollment.

Provide primary supervision of children, plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum, and design/maintain safe and stimulating environments for children. Assist program coordinator with other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of post-secondary education and experience, school age child care experience, knowledge of social development of school-aged children, good communication and interpersonal skills required, current CPR and first aid certification. Employment subject to successful background study.

WAGES: Begins at $18.77 or higher per hour based on experience. Benefits as per the current
Kids Club contract.
• Quarterly bonuses based on the funding of a state wide grant. This bonus structure will continue through June of 2023.
