JOB GOAL:
To enable the District to provide quality education for all students in the District. This position will be working in a Center-Based EBD program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Professional Skills – The teacher is expected to establish procedures of management to allow a maximum of learning and a minimum of disciplinary action by:
1. Planning and organizing effectively.

2. Being sensitive to factors which affect pupil achievement and behavior.
3. Being available for extra help.
4. Using methods of management that result in desired changes in behavior.
5. Communicating and maintaining a working relationship with parents.
6. Maintaining confidentiality with respect to students and their records.
7. Refraining from personal criticism of staff to students.
8. Avoiding use of position for commercial gain.

The teacher is expected to establish and maintain a professional relationship with fellow staff members by:
9. Cooperating with other staff members.
10. Consulting with co-workers in evaluating and meeting student needs.
11. Leaving clear and complete instructions for substitutes.
12. Following curriculum and policies approved by the Board.
13. Cooperating in evaluation of present curriculum.
14. Recommending possible revision of curriculum.
15. Being proficient or distinguished in all areas listed on the Teacher Performance Evaluation.
16. Communicating professionally and respectfully with students, staff, parents, and community members, using oral, written, and electronic means.
17. Attending work regularly.
18. Performing other duties as assigned.

Professional Development: The teacher is expected to demonstrate professional development by:
1. Participating actively in inservice programs.
2. Keeping abreast of professional developments in his/her particular area and in education as a whole.

Job Summary:  To provide prevention and intervention services for students exhibiting high risk behaviors and their families in the areas of chemical abuse, truancy, and other acting out behaviors.

Illustrated Duties:

  1. Work with building administration and counselors to identify students exhibiting high risk behaviors (i.e.
  2. chemical use, truancy, discipline issues, family concerns, runaway, anxiety, depression).
  3. Conduct chemical pre-assessments with students as appropriate.
  4. Participate in building student assistance teams.
  5. Meet with students referred by building student assistance teams.
  6. Provide one-to-one counseling and support groups for students as time permits.
  7. Provide family consultation and support as necessary.
  8. Collaborate with community agencies to provide services to students and their families.

POSITION:
Assistant Football Coach – Beginning August 15, 2022
15 weeks                         Start: 3:15 PM

QUALIFICATIONS:
Support the head coach in creating a positive and competitively balanced football program. Work within the system of the program, for the betterment of the individuals and the program as a whole with specific coaching of proper and safe techniques and tactics of the game of football. Take part in all peripheral aspects of the program, including scouting, booster functions, banquets, etc. Work with head coach in evaluation of student-athlete performance and capabilities. Other duties as assigned by head coach or director of athletics and activities.

• Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
• Previous and positive experience as head or assistance coach at the high school level
• Solid understanding of the technical and tactical aspects of coaching football
• Knowledge of program needs and goals.
• Ability to work with all levels of skill and abilities
• Ability to follow directions and guidance of the head coach and other coaches on staff as applicable
• Strong levels of integrity and moral compass
• Adherence to conference, state, and school district policies and bylaws

POSITION:
Assistant Girls Tennis Coach – $3,560 – Beginning as soon as possible
– 11 weeks             Starts at 3:00 PM

QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School graduate, Bachelors preferred
• Previous tennis coaching experience at the club, high school, or collegiate level
• Must possess and display excellent human relations skills when dealing with students, staff and community.

Responsibilities:
• Provide support to coach tennis team and participate in various tennis tournaments.
• Train and counsel students to improve physical, social and intellectual behavior of all students.
• Administer and evaluate team physical talent through quality coaching and teaching teamwork principles.
• Plan and administer a variety of training sessions for team members through proper planning.
• Provide professional training to student team members and participate in various competitive games.
• Assist in maintaining and evaluating all of equipment inventories and provide regular updates.
Ensure that team members and matches are in compliance with MSHSL and Centennial School District policies and procedures

Position: Lead Administrative Assistant – Athletics and Activities
Work Schedule: Full-time (8 hrs/day) – 12-months/year
Start Date: As Soon As Possible

Required Qualifications:
• High School graduate or equivalent and one to three years experience in office capacity.
• Must possess and display excellent human relations skills when dealing with students, staff and community.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, ability to write reports and correspondence, ability to speak effectively and interact positively with staff, students, parents, community and vendors.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form. Ability to problem solve situations as they arise involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Proficiency with computers and other digital devices, including related software and applicable apps.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.

Responsibilities:
Performs multiple administrative assistant functions simultaneously such as the following:
• Work with the Director of Athletics and Activities Director regularly to assist with organizing and implementing all Centennial High School athletic and activity programming
• Assists with planning and reserving of practices and competitions spaces with various district facilities and scheduling partners
• Recruiting and organizing event worker staff (Ticketing, supervision, announcing, etc.)
• Manages district bus and van use schedule for team transportation
• Assisting with some set up and take down for events
• Organizing and preparing digital ticketing platform for regular season and post-season competitions
• Assists in managing athletic and activity budgets
• Assists with individual and team awards for end of season banquets
• Assists in communication with coaches on daily and seasonal needs
• Communication with coaches, advisors, district staff, coaches, and community regarding online registration for athletics and activities
• Works with office staff to cover additional needs for the school
• Works with conference, section and state for activity needs.
• Works with the business office and district office to report data needed for conference, state, and Centennial School Board purposes
• Assists coaches with ordering of necessary equipment and supplies
• Other duties may be assigned.

WAGES/BENEFITS:
As per the current Administrative Assistant/Clerical master agreement. Starting at $20.60, based on experience.
