Program Manager Community Education & Full Day Four Year Old Early Learning Program

Job Summary: To inspire and prepare each and every scholar with the confidence, courage and competence to achieve their dreams, contribute to the community, and engage in a lifetime of learning.  Position provides support to our Community Education program areas (focus areas include: Four Star Express and Kidstop).   Must have community education program experience, and a willingness to work in multiple program areas.  Must also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, computer skills, collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.

Essential Duties of Position Include: 

-Assist with the overall leadership and development of multiple program areas- emphasis will be placed on School Age Care and Early Learning with some other opportunities to help support other OST (Out of School Time) programs.
-Assist with recruiting, training, evaluating and supervising non-licensed staff.  Personnel and conflict management skills needed.
-Support the continued development, including program development, management of program projects, personnel and staff development, communication and collaboration with stakeholders, development of community partnerships, marketing and promotion of  programs.
-Assist with development, implementation, evaluation of various quality improvement areas and initiatives for programs.
-Understands and ensures compliance with rules, regulations, and laws regarding childcare assistance and programs.
-Establish, create, maintain and collaborate relationships within each school and other district personnel and departments.
-Manage data and communication with stakeholders. Organize workflow in multiple school environments and assign/delegate job duties.
-Willingness to learn and provide leadership in multiple program areas that may vary based on time of year or program needs.
-Willingness to be flexible in supporting multiple program areas potentially at one time, and will need to have the ability to prioritize work needs.
-Supporting, developing and assisting with programs that operate M-F 6:30am-6:00pm during the summer and school year.  Programs are open on most Non School Days during the school year.
-Work with families, students and staff to best meet the needs of students. Collaborates on inclusion needs and assists in resources, strategies, and meetings as needed.
-Use of technology to support work, database and recordkeeping needs. (Knowledge of Frontline, Eleyo, Google experience preferred)
-Monitor and support program revenues and expenses including site budgets and responsibilities (staffing levels/ratios), reconcile purchases, create systems and coordinate purchases for site ordering.
-All other duties as assigned.

 

Coordinator – Student Services

Supervise the collection, storage and release of student records.

Job Summary:  The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following fundamental job duties:

  • Supervise staff in Student Services positions in coordination with building principals.
  • Be actively engaged in the equity work of the district.
  • Supervise the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of program improvement in all areas of student services.
  • Establish and maintain good public relations through participation and leadership in parent advisory groups.
  • Manage resources effectively to further the mission of the district.
  • Design and support Professional Learning for Student Services staff.
  • Assume leadership for and engage in on-going collaboration to improve student learning.
  • Engage in effective communication and consultation with members of the organization and community.
  • Provide leadership for systemic change, priority results and specific Special Education programs.
  • Actively supports the work of the Director of Student services.
  • Other duties as assigned.

High School Principal

Primary Function: In accordance with the Westonka Public School District vision, mission and strategic plan, provide instructional leadership and management of the educational program to maximize learning in an 1000-student school serving grades 8-12, and supervise and evaluate teachers and other staff.

Student Management Specialist

Description:   A Student Management Specialist uses restorative practices to build and maintain relationships between students, teachers, and parents. They help students to grow and to improve behavior while creating individual interventions for students. They also plan for and maintain school-wide systems, structures, and discipline. They are ambassadors for our community and believe passionately in the potential of our students.

 

Job Summary: 

  1. Assists principal in the overall administration of the middle school program;
  2. Performs as a resource for teachers and staff who express concerns for student attendance, student development and/or discipline;
  3. Coordinates efforts with guidance, police liaison officer(s), school psychologist, and/or social worker in meeting with students and parents to discuss improving student attendance and/or behavior;
  4. Consults with families via conference or communication systems concerning student attendance and behavior;
  5. Resolves student behavior concerns in a fair and timely manner and maintains records of disciplinary or referral actions taken;
  6. Closely monitors the physical plant of the schools and grounds and follows-up on student vandalism;
  7. Assists in the interpretation of school district programs relating to student substance abuse and truancy;
  8. Makes recommendations for appropriate revisions of policies and rules effecting student behavior;
  9. Assists in discussing strategies to improve student performance, attendance and development;
  10. Assists in developing and administering practices dealing with campus control and security;
  11. Maintains active relationships with parents, families and students;
  12. Assists in establishing rules governing students sent to the in-school suspension/detention room;
  13. Responds to written and oral communication regarding student development and discipline matters;
  14. Serves as a member of such committees and attends such meetings as directed by the principal;
  15. Assumes responsibility when all administrators are out of the building;
  16. Performs other tasks and assumes responsibilities within the overall scope of the position which the principal may assign.
