To develop students’ interest, abilities, talents and skills for artistic expression and creativity in the visual arts, as well as aesthetic understanding and appreciation by implementing culturally proficient and cross-curricular curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; developing meaningful lesson plans; modeling the necessary skills to performing assigned tasks; providing a safe, fun and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.
The successful candidate will be an individual who:
· Speaks Spanish proficiently
· has experience with and interested in cultural and language acquisition
· has a strong desire to work with K-6 school students and teach the knowledge and skills in art, including crafts, drawing, painting, lettering, design, commercial art, art history, and three-dimensional art to primary school pupils, and other appropriate learning activities.
· Want to work in multi-lingual and multi-cultural school community
· be familiar with assessment for learning practices as well as how to provide appropriate interventions for students
· has the ability to collaborate with their colleagues to discuss instruction and assessment to meet the needs of the students
· possess a sense of responsibility for the learning of all of the students
· has experience with technology strongly desired.

Primary Responsibilities
Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:
· teaching students in the area of grades K-6 Art Education in a cross-curricular manner
