Position Overview

Anticipated 1.0 FTE, Long Term Substitute position, working flexibly with students & colleagues in person, in a hybrid (onsite and online), and Extended Flexible Learning (online) settings.

Primary Responsibilities
Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:all assigned duties and responsibilities, which will include:  implementation of curriculum, assessing student progress, aligning assessment w/ instruction, responding to students w/ personalized learning opportunities, communicating with parents, managing the environment, and working collaboratively with colleagues while functioning as a member of the Park Terrace staff.

.6 FTE Special Education Teaching position to teach social skills and behavior management techniques, working with students in grades K-4 at Centerview Elementary, primarily with Autsism Spectrum Disorders and some Emotional Behavioral Disorders.

Primary Responsibilities:

Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:Develop and provide direct social, emotional, and behavior instruction.
Conduct formative assessment, and monitor progress, to guide instructional planning.
Conduct social, emotional, and behavioral assessments as part of triannual special education evaluations.
Consult with general and special education staff.
Maintain student records of services provided.
Participate in IEP and evaluation summary meetings.
Perform other related duties, as assigned.

Experience:

Previous experience or willingness to work with students struggling with behavior management. Additional knowledge or experience with due process/assessments/methods and current trends in the field of behavior interventions and support.
