Minnehaha Academy is seeking a part-time Business Office & Human Resources Assistant at our 3100 W River Parkway location.  Office hours are daytime, Monday through Friday.

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Office & Operations

  • Distribute incoming mail to business office colleagues
  • Daily check deposit processing
  • Cash deposits, as needed
  • Daily invoice processing
  • Process bi-weekly employee expense reimbursements
  • Document scanning
  • Assist with coordination and coverage of the front desk
  • Support the Redhawk Shop, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Human Resources

  • Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing and review of register
  • Prepare supplemental and coaching contracts
  • Enter employee updates into ADP for payroll, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

LTS High School Math Teacher

A Long Term Substitute Mathematics teaching position is available at the Forest Lake Area Senior High School, with the ability to teach secondary mathematics which  includes Algebra I & II and Geometry utilizing Google and Canvas platforms.  This position is for semester 3 and may be extended.

Student Support Assistant

Effective immediately, the Human Resources Department will accept online applications for the position of Student Support  Assistant at our high school.  This position will work 6.5 hours per day, plus half hour duty-free lunch, Monday – Friday, school days only.

Job Summary
Under the direction of the building/department administration and/or guidance from the Student Support Specialist, supervise students in various settings and assist with managing student behaviors under established rules, policies and procedures.

Job Functions

Assist proactively with implementing individual student behavior plans.
Support managing student conflicts and behavior issues pre-emptively.
Record and manage student behavioral data.
Respond to unexpected situations as needed.
Provide overall supervision to groups or individual students.
Utilize positive behavior strategies and de-escalation techniques with students.
Be a positive role model for respectful behavior and problem solving strategies.
Communicate with students and staff in a positive and supportive manner.
Help to create and maintain positive, safe environments throughout the school building and school grounds (i.e. gym, lunchroom, classroom, hallways, playground).
Cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with all students, staff, families and community members.
Adhere to staff and program guidelines and district procedures and policies.
Demonstrated prompt, regular and reliable attendance
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Student Supervisor – Cafeteria (four positions)

Effective immediately, the Human Resources Department will accept online applications for Student Supervisors at our Secondary Building.  The position works 3.5 hours per day; student-contact days only.  Rate of pay is $16.13 per hour; Independent-Student Support Non-Certified.

Job Summary
Supervise students under established rules, policies and procedures in hallways and lunchroom.

Job FunctionsSupervise students in lunchroom, hallways .
Supervise students during breakfast or lunch periods.
Oversee breakfast or lunch clean up.
Clean and sanitize tables between lunch periods.
Inform maintenance of any spills that need to be taken care of in the lunchroom.
Ensure students line up and move about the lunchroom and hallways in an orderly and safe manner.
Communicate with students in a positive and supportive manner.
Assist with creating and maintaining a positive and safe environment for all students.
Manage student conflicts using established procedures and processes.
Intervene in inappropriate behavior and record major behavior issues on the office referral form.
Ensure students line up and move through school in an orderly and safe manner.
Be a positive example by modeling respectful behavior and using problem-solving strategies.
Cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with all students, staff, families and community members.
Adhere to staff and program guidelines and district procedures and policies.
Demonstrate prompt, regular and reliable attendance.

Administrative Assistant

POSITION: Full-time, year-round Administrative Assistant for Jordan Community Education and Recreation Center (CERC). Hours will be 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM.

SUMMARY: To provide visitors and staff with a welcoming, comfortable and efficient place in which to address questions, concerns and other needs that support the functioning of the CERC. The Administrative Assistant will perform all clerical and secretarial duties necessary to support the Community Education department.

SALARY: $16.48 – $25.04 per hour, depending upon experience.

REPORTS TO: Community Education Director

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education/Experience/Skills:High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years of experience providing administrative support in a professional office setting.
  • Strong experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities
  • Working knowledge of basic office procedures and operation of standard office equipment and machines.
  • Personal attributes necessary for working within a team setting and creating an inviting and welcoming office environment.
  • Maintains professional dress and appearance
  • Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Working knowledge of Google Applications Suite
  • Working knowledge of SMART software or similar system.
  • Working knowledge of ACTIVE Net or other registration system.

Physical Requirements:

  • Position works in an office environment that requires significant time sitting and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Bilingual Family Support & Enrollment Specialist

Position Description:

Each call, each guest visit, each question we get to answer offers us the opportunity to exceed expectations and welcome families into the Spring Lake Park Schools community. Essential Roles:
As a front office team member, no two days will likely look the same, however here are some of the essential roles of this position.

Greet and assist visitors at the District Services Center
Enthusiastically answer the District Services Center main phone line and provide exceptional service to the diverse and variety of calls to the main district line
Manage and execute the district’s enrollment work flow with attention to detail and accuracy, material distribution, reporting functions and record keeping
Support and assist enrollment strategy tasks and priorities, including participation at enrollment events and functions
Provide a welcoming, timely and highly informed enrollment process with each new family and student
Complete regular system scans to identify areas of improvement
Evaluate situations for the purpose of taking appropriate action and/or directing to appropriate personnel for resolution
Prioritize tasks, monitor own progress, and meet timelines while managing frequent interruptions
Support departments such as Community Education, Technology, Athletics & Activities with basic registration and payment services
Support staff with translation needs for written documents and in-person needs as they arise
This is a full-time, year-round position at the District Services Center.
