Duties of this job include, but are not limited to: all assigned classroom duties and responsibilities, which will include:  implementation of curriculum, assessing student progress, aligning assessment w/ instruction, responding to students w/ personalized learning opportunities, communicating with parents, managing the classroom, and working collaboratively with colleagues while functioning as a member of the Centerview staff.

The successful candidate will be an individual who will be committed to the equitable education of all students.  He or she will have a strong background in instruction and assessment practices, and will focus on ensuring the learning and achievement of each student.

This teacher must be able to differentiate Art education effectively to meet the needs of students with a wide range of learning needs.  He or she will also work to develop curriculum and establish and maintain a safe and professional teaching and learning environment.  The successful teacher will also regularly collaborate with peers in leadership and learning communities within the school and district.

The teaching and facilitation of Kindergarten through 4th grade art.

The successful candidate will be an individual who:
·       Speaks Spanish fluently
·       has experience with and interested in language acquisition
·       has a strong desire to work with K-6 school students
·       Want to work in multi-lingual and multi-cultural school community
·       be familiar with assessment for learning practices as well as how to provide appropriate interventions for students

Primary Responsibilities
Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:
·       teaching students in the area of grades K-6 General Education all subject areas in the target language of Spanish
·       assessing student learning and developing responses to learning
·       reporting and communicating to parents and families
·       engaging in professional development.

With supervision, partner with licensed Spring Lake Park Public Schools’ staff in the implementation of a comprehensive educational program for students in grades K-4.   Staff are expected to participate as part of a classroom environment that is multicultural/gender and ability fair/developmentally appropriate, is favorable to learning and growth, and is based on a commitment that all children can learn.  This may include working with students in individual, small group, and large group environments in the general education setting, as well as partnering with staff as a guest teacher. The ability to assist students with the acquisition of academic, study, and social skills commensurate with pre-college academic content in mathematics, science, language arts, and social studies. Additionally, partner with a team of teachers in a PLC to develop and implement project-based learning opportunities for students. Position will begin ASAP, and end as of June 9, 2022.
