Primary Responsibilities
Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:
·       teaching students in the area of grades K-6 General Education all subject areas in the target language of Spanish
·       assessing student learning and developing responses to learning
·       reporting and communicating to parents and families
·       engaging in professional development.

With supervision, partner with licensed Spring Lake Park Public Schools’ staff in the implementation of a comprehensive educational program for students in grades K-4.   Staff are expected to participate as part of a classroom environment that is multicultural/gender and ability fair/developmentally appropriate, is favorable to learning and growth, and is based on a commitment that all children can learn.  This may include working with students in individual, small group, and large group environments in the general education setting, as well as partnering with staff as a guest teacher. The ability to assist students with the acquisition of academic, study, and social skills commensurate with pre-college academic content in mathematics, science, language arts, and social studies. Additionally, partner with a team of teachers in a PLC to develop and implement project-based learning opportunities for students. Position will begin ASAP, and end as of June 9, 2022.

Ability to support students in various educational settings throughout the school day
Some lifting of 40 pounds or greater may be required.
