Minnehaha Academy has an opening for a Director of Academic Support Services, scheduled to begin in July, 2021. After the first year, this will be an 11 month position that is off the month of July.  This Director will lead and be responsible for all academic support programming, personnel, and processes, which together serve students officially diagnosed with a learning disability, who struggle with one or more academic areas, and/or who may need further enrichment.  This person will report to the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning.

Math Teacher – High School 1.0 FTE, 2021-22 SY

North Lakes Academy is seeking an enthusiastic math teacher responsible for nurturing social-emotional and academic growth in their classroom by planning and implementing rigorous, student-centered daily lessons in literacy and math as well as other subject areas.

As a part of the teacher-leadership team, you will work directly with directors and colleagues to create an ambitious and engaging experience for math students. You’ll oversee the work of curriculum design, classroom management, and collaboration to engineer an effective, scalable, and reliable experience across our K-12 school platform and programs.

Elementary Literacy Specialist

JOB GOAL:
Responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing a comprehensive elementary literacy program focused on inclusive practices in our 4K-5 classrooms; modeling of best practices literacy instruction which use research-based learning strategies; coaching reading teachers and specialists to increase leadership capacity; developing and implementing literacy curriculum with staff; facilitating ongoing literacy training based on the principles of continuous improvement; serving as a resource person on best practice curriculum and assessment; and identifying professional learning needs of the District and facilitating training.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Support reading specialists and teachers to increase their capacity to lead the literacy program for all student in their respective schools.
2. Develop comprehensive literacy training to be collaboratively facilitated with instructional coaches to ensure access to a rigorous literacy curriculum for all students.
3. Consult with reading teachers and specialists to develop diagnostic literacy interventions and supports.
4. Support coaches in their responsibilities related to achieving district literacy goals.
5. Assist Learning Support Services in on-going curriculum improvement process including planning and implementation.
6. Develop and provide support resources to enhance inclusive nature of core literacy curriculum.
7. Monitor curriculum alignment to standards, district scorecard and scorecard action plans.
8. Use data to align professional learning with District and school improvement goals.
9. Consult with instructional coaches as they work with teachers to meet classroom and individual student needs.
10. Regularly communicate with principals and Learning Support Services administrators.
11. Collaborate with K-12 Learning Support Services team.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. WI Department of Public Instruction Elementary Teacher license.
2. Minimum of 3 years teaching experience required.
3. Master’s degree in education required and:
• Demonstrated expertise in research-based best-practices in literacy, curriculum design, instruction, and professional learning.
• Demonstrated expertise in strategies for differentiating classroom literacy instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students in an inclusive setting.
• Experience facilitating professional learning opportunities.
• Strong leadership skills in working collaboratively and effectively with other professionals.

Teacher- 4K

Language Arts Teacher – Middle School (Long-Term Substitute)

Assistant Director – Athletics

Job Summary:
Assistant Activities Director  will be responsible for the effective administration of the school’s activity programming.  They will take direction from the school Activities Director. In addition to that administration of the activities programs this position is also responsible for on-site supervision of after school community education and school events. Duties will consist of helping with facility scheduling and reservations, working with custodians for set-ups, confirming facilities with teams/community groups, and monitoring and supervising community events.

Specific Duties Include:
Schedule and oversee facility usage at High school after the regular school day.
Includes:  Site Managements for Co-curricular practices/contests, officials, activity club meetings, community usage, and facility after school usage. Provide coordination and arranging of high school officials, event workers, and concession workers.
Assisting in the scheduling of high school co-curricular games/practices.

Ensure effective communication with Activities Director, coaches, officials, custodians district staff, and program participants regarding event schedules, transportation, and room assignments. Provide monthly facility usage reports.

Manage and supervise Community Education and other activities at the high school, including the after school ski/snowboard program and summer athletic camps and clinics. After school supervision.

Supervise and/or provide facility set-up, take down and cleanup for events as directed. Serve as site contact for groups during events, Use check list to assure appropriate facility use.   Note facility maintenance needs including such responsibilities as cleaning of concession area, bleachers, and other facility necessities. Ensure effective transition from the school day to after school activities and events.

Other Duties:
Use software and other online tools as related to job function. Attend co-curricular activity meetings related to job responsibilities as assigned. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or initiated.
