About the Special Education Department at Eagle Ridge Academy:

· Separate Special Education licensed staff salary scale

· Due Process secretary (schedules meetings, mails paperwork to families and maintains due process files)

· Professional development opportunities

· IEP meetings scheduled within contract hours

· Department meetings held within contract hours

· Special Services Coordinator and Director of Special Services on-site full time

 

Responsibilities:

· Conduct and carry out due process actions relating to student evaluations

· Collect and complete written evaluation reports

· Conduct required testing/protocols for special education evaluations

· Collaborate with special education and general education teachers in order to understand environmental influences on students being assessed

· Maintain appropriate student data and other records and complete/submit reports as required.

· Maintains materials and/or manual and electronic files/records for the purpose of ensuring availability of items; providing written reference; and/or meeting mandated requirements.

· In cooperation with 504 Coordinator, classroom teachers and Director of Special Services, support 504 process as needed.

· Promotes a problem-solving process with teachers and other staff for the purpose of capacity building and child find

· Research evidence-based practices to provide solutions in a problem-solving process

· Communicates effectively with teacher(s) or other staff as assigned for the purpose of promoting continuous improvement of individual student goals

· Performs other comparable duties of a like or similar nature as apparent or assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree and applicable MN teaching license.

Salary Range: $48,909-$106,848
Job Type : Full-time, 186 days
