Position Purpose:

This position provides direct instructional services to elementary and middle school students who are not meeting grade level proficiency in English by using prescribed interventions.  Evaluates, instruct and improve English proficiency. Support and work closely with teachers in providing educational and resources support for students.

Provides 1:1 and small groups classroom assistance
Monitors supplementary work and independent study
Monitors progress and completes reporting as required
Partners closely with the teacher to make sure that students are improving English proficiency

Middle School Principal

The Mahtomedi School District hosts a 3,200-student population and is located in the northeast metropolitan area; which comprises an E-2 Elementary, 3-5 Elementary, Middle School grades 6-8, High School grades 9-12 along with a Transition program for students aged 18-21.

The Middle School serves approximately 850 students and 75 staff. This position collaborates with a team of six other principals and an administrative leadership team in the District.

Coordinator of Special Education

Columbia Heights Public Schools is seeking a Coordinator of Special Education to start with the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year. This position will be located out of the District Offices and serve District-wide Special Education needs under direction of the Director of Special Education.

Calendar: 228 days / year (CHPS only offers 12 month pay)

FLSA Status: Exempt

Group: Non-affiliated (non-union group), TRA eligible for qualified individuals

Compensation: Commensurate based upon education and experience
