We are currently seeking a 1.0 FTE Early Childhood Special Education Teacher to work with students birth to age 3 using the Primary Service Provider model and will follow the early childhood special education calendar.

 

 

Cashier (5.5 hours)

Cashier (5.5 hours) – Kaposia Education Center

The position is working 5.5 hours per day; student contact days only.

Job Functions

Collect money and deposit into accounts on a daily basis.  Monitor free/reduced meal status of students.  Maintain adult meal accounts.  Complete accurate daily deposit and day end procedures.
Ensure point of sale equipment is ready for operation and is operating correctly.
Maintain approved carry-on cash in cash drawer.  Maintain accurate records of meal charges and check blocks and parent requests for blocking student accounts.
Work with parents/staff to notify parents of insufficient funds in meals accounts and collect money for these accounts in accordance with the Nutrition Services Administrative Assistant.
Process adjustments to accounts as directed by the Nutrition Services Director, Assistant Director and/or Nutrition Services Secretary.
Monitor meal components and claim meals for reimbursement that adhere to federal guidelines and cashiering for ala carte.
Assemble and prepare food items according to child nutrition guidelines, standardized recipes and directions from the Cook Manager.
Maintain a clean work area and handle food properly using procedures established in HACCP plans
Utilize safety measures as it pertains to use and operation of equipment in the kitchen including utensils, knives, and other equipment
Represent a positive public relations environment with customers
Attend education classes, training classes and or workshops as required
Other duties as assigned

Nutrition Assistant (8.0 hours)

This position will work 8.0 hours per day; student contact days only.

Job Summary
Perform a variety of assigned tasks in the dish room, serving and cashiering under established rules, policies and procedures.

Job Functions

Assemble, prepare, and serve food items according to child nutrition guidelines, standardized recipes and directions from the Cook Manager.
Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots and pans, and other items in dish room using procedures established in HACCP plans.
Rotate working in serving area, cashiering, food prep and dish room as assigned.
Clean and handle food properly using procedures established in HACCP plans.
Monitor meal components and claim meals for reimbursement that adhere to federal guidelines and cashiering for ala carte.

Preschool Teacher (Temporary)

Preschool Teacher – Kaposia Education Center

This is a temporary position effective through June 4, 2020.  The position works 7.5 hours per day (Monday – Friday), and will follow the school calendar.

Job Summary
Provide a comprehensive and developmentally appropriate preschool experience for children. Guide children’s behavior in a consistent and positive manner.

Job Functions

Plan, implement, evaluate and coordinate curriculum and behavioral support with other staff.
Observe/monitor/assess/record each child’s development/behavior for reporting and progress monitoring.
Develop and maintain rapport with each child and provide positive behavior guidance to all children, plus provide for the health and safety of each child.
Provide a developmentally appropriate classroom – organized, safe and inclusive of learning centers.
Maintain and order supplies, equipment and materials as appropriate.
Plan and coordinate special events/celebrations of learning.
Develop and maintain communication with parents through daily greeting, parent info, conferences, progress reports, open houses, volunteering and events.
Provide support, direction, supervision and assistance to the assistant(s).
Respond appropriately to emergency or crisis situations.
Maintain appropriate records with the support of the assistant(s).
Maintain communication with all staff and participate as a team member.
Perform other general duties as assigned by your supervisor to accomplish the objectives of the Early Learning Program.

Associate Director

by

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as MSHSL Associate Director, modeling the mission and beliefs of the MSHSL
  • Support athletes, coaches, administrators, and school communities as they maximize opportunities to provide education-based athletic and fine arts activities
  • Communicate with member school personnel regarding the value of providing education-based activities and athletics and the value for students of participation in League-sponsored activities
  • Administer eligibility and compliance of all MSHSL rules, policies and bylaws
  • Serve as an eligibility and compliance contact for all MSHSL member schools and constituents
  • Collaborate with the members of the MSHSL administrative team, support staff, Board of Directors, Region Committees, Coaches Associations, Coaches Advisory Committees, and Member Schools
  • Assist the Executive Director in preparing and administering the rules, policies and bylaws of the MSHSL
  • Assist the Board of Directors, the Representative Assembly and Region Committees in preparing, reviewing and administering the rules policies and bylaws of the MSHSL
  • Work with MSHSL legal counsel and legislative lobbyist as required
  • Serve as a staff liaison for the MSHSL Board of Directors Eligibility Committee
  • Serve as the staff liaison and coordinate the MSHSL Sports Medicine Advisory Committee, including all health, wellness and safety initiatives as well as supervising the assignment of medical personnel for all MSHSL state tournaments
  • Assist at statewide meetings by speaking at conferences, leading discussion groups, instructing ADs and serving as a staff liaison to assigned ad hoc/task force committees
  • Administer, organize and manage MSHSL athletic activities as assigned, including but not limited to: develop related initiatives for each activity, director of the state tournament, assignment of tournament personnel, selection of tournament officials, plan collaboratively with site personnel, rule interpretations, networking with coaches and officials, processing incident reports
  • Prepare budgets, review and negotiate site contracts and administer expenditures and reimbursements to officials, tournament personnel and participating teams for all areas of assigned responsibilities
  • Develop collegial relationships with coaches’ associations for the major fall, winter and spring tournaments assigned to this position
  • Serve as a representative and spokesperson for the League by:
    • Speaking at League meetings, school functions, community events, and professional conferences and workshops
    • Writing on issues related to areas of assigned responsibilities and other educational issues in League publications and other education publications
    • Preparing reports as required and requested by the Executive Director or Board of Directors
    • Serving on state and national committees as League representative
    • Providing interviews for newspapers, other publications, radio and television as a representative of the League
    • Preparing press releases to promote areas of assigned responsibilities
    • Preparing and delivering speeches at functions such as athletic banquets, pre-season parent meetings, and other school functions
  • Chair sport association ad hoc committees as may be assigned from time to time
  • Other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum of a BA or BS with evidence of continuing education. Additional certification, or an MA or higher in administration or leadership is preferred.

  • Demonstrated belief and action supporting the MSHSL Why We Play initiative and philosophy in the candidate’s school, community or organization.
