Maintenance Helper

Maintenance Helper  (12 month; full-time)

Job Summary
The Maintenance Helper is responsible for maintaining the care of district grounds, athletic facilities, parking lots, snow removal and roads as required, and maintaining and attractive, sanitary and safe school grounds, equipment and landscape areas.

Job Functions

Perform a variety of grounds maintenance and gardening duties; maintain grounds and other assigned areas to ensure a safe, clean and attractive environment for students, staff and the public.
Provide maintenance and care for a variety of equipment, vehicles and playground equipment, identify items needing repair or replacement, or situations that could become a hazard throughout the district.
Maintain a systematic approach to grounds maintenance to include such duties as cutting and trimming grass, aeration, watering, weed control, trimming trees, tree removal, maintaining bedding plants and ground cover.
Perform general grounds cleanup, including picking up and removing paper, trash, trimmings and debris from grounds area, parking lots, playgrounds, athletic fields and other assigned areas.
Maintain practice and game fields for outdoor athletic events including set up of fields and striping.
Responsible for snow removal on all district driveways, sidewalks and parking lots, including shoveling and salting for icy conditions to ensure safety of building users.
Provide assistance to other custodial personnel as directed.
Maintain grounds equipment in good working condition, including washing, cleaning, lubrication, sharpening blades, etc.
Apply weed control methods to eradicate weeds and other pests according to established procedures as assigned; post public notification of pesticides/herbicides applications within establish notification time.
Identify and report immediate and potential safety issues and hazards to appropriate personnel; respond to emergency grounds maintenance needs as requested.
Load, unload, haul and transport supplies, debris, materials and equipment as required; spread and distribute sand, dirt, playground fiber and various other materials as assigned.
Perform various grounds maintenance projects in response to work orders.
Fill in for building engineers as needed.
Other duties as assigned.

2020-21 Spanish Teacher, Full Time (Start ASAP)

1.    Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and provides individualized and small group instruction to adapt the District approved curriculum to the needs of each pupil.
2.    Translates lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences.

4.    Evaluates pupils’ academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records in a timely fashion prepares progress reports.

6.    Communicates regularly with parents outside normal classroom day by means of Schoology, newsletters, phone calls, e-mails, conferences, etc.
7.    Works in a supportive and collaborative manner with colleagues and supervisors.
8.    Maintains and improves professional skills by participating in building and department meetings, formal coursework, workshops, and seminars in an effort to stay current with best teaching practices.
9.  Participates in a professional learning community on a regular basis.
10.  Integration of technology into instruction.
11.  Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

Job Summary
This position cleans and maintains designated areas of building to ensure a clean, pleasant and safe environment for employees, students, and the general public.

Job Functions

Vacuum, mop and sweep designated areas of building.
Collect and remove all trash, shredding and recycling in assigned areas.
Clean restrooms and locker rooms as assigned.
Clean windows, doors and mirrors in entry ways and other areas as assigned.
Clean carpets, stairways and floors as assigned.
Dust furniture and equipment.
Clean and disinfect cafeteria tables, counter tops and conference room tables
Report any issues with equipment or materials to supervisor.
Lock up building or designated area as require.
Move furniture, set up for events as needed.
Follow district cleaning procedures and standard safety procedures, including using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Substitute for building engineer as needed.
Other duties as assigned

Responsible To:  Assistant Principal/Knowledge Bowl Head Coach
Salary:  Based on CEA Master Agreement

Duties:  Support the work of the students and Head Coach in Knowledge Bowl competition, practice (virtual as needed), chaperoning, etc.
Qualifications:  Experience coaching competitive high school academic teams preferred
Good communication skills
Respect/recognition of youth needs
Promote program and recruit team members
Schedule and conduct practices
Keep records (registration, attendance, schedules, etc.)
Monitor student academic progress and eligibility according to MNSHL rules
Train teams
Attend tournaments.
Supervise students and act as a tournament official as needed
Assist in hosting tournaments
Work at the direction of the head coach

Background check will be conducted.
