This position will oversee the operation, maintenance, repair and remodel of buildings, grounds and mechanical equipment owned by the District, and provide a clean, safe environment for building users. Provide leadership and planning for district building needs.
Job Functions: Supervise, support, train and evaluate staff performance. Ensure custodial, maintenance, grounds keeping, health & safety and security programs are responsive to educational programming needs and support the mission of the school district.
Manage all health and safety programs including asbestos, hazardous waste, OSHA, Employee Right to Know, and Bloodborne Pathogens. Ensure compliance with city, county, state, and federal rules and regulations relating to ADA, OSHA, fire, health, safety and environmental conditions.
Prepare budget recommendations and detail for the maintenance and operation of the buildings and grounds. Manage expenditures within capital outlay budget, long-term facility maintenance fund, and the department budget.
Develop short and long-range goals for the management of the department and the repair and betterment of facilities that are consistent with the district’s mission statement and strategic plan.
Coordinate budgeting, planning, design, engineering, bidding and construction scheduling and oversight of all capital (new construction, remodeling, and deferred maintenance) projects.
Collaborate with building principals, site teams, parent groups, community education, special education, athletics and other facility users and tenants to resolve facility issues.
Monitor and assess the condition of all buildings and grounds and equipment by physically inspecting buildings and equipment on a regular basis.
Evaluate and prioritize maintenance, equipment and capital improvements of all district buildings and grounds.
Supervise and maintain an effective maintenance recordkeeping system.
Research and order supplies, materials and equipment to assure the best quality and price, and review and approve vendor invoices for payment.
Establish and implement staff training or in-services on cleaning and maintenance.
Attend administrative meetings, and keep peers and supervisors informed on issues of concern.
Recommend and oversee facility projects performed by outside contractors.
Oversee and assure proper operation of security and fire alarm systems at buildings.
Provide leadership and guidance in the development of policies, procedures and practices that apply to areas of responsibility.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Summary
Occupational Therapists provide a related service to support the special needs of qualified students with IEP’s, assigning, designing, and implementing appropriate therapies, preparing and maintaining appropriate records, and related work as apparent or assigned.
This is a temporary position scheduled to work through June 30, 2020; Monday – Thursday, 7.5 hours per day.
Full-time Spanish long-term substitute teaching position at the Sr. High level, grades 9-12, beginning on or about April 24, 2020.
