Serve as an instructional and data leader for the Middle School. Lead and manage all programs, services, staff, and students. Responsible for decisions that promote effective staff work, understanding of student needs, quality curriculum and learner outcomes, and use of best teaching practices to improve learning. The Minnesota Math and Science Academy is looking for Special Education Teachers starting with the 2020-2021 school year. We are a K-12 grade building, seeking talented and energetic teachers who have abilities and interests in the Special Education field . The Special Education Teacher must have strong communication and leadership skills as well as a strong passion and commitment to work with students. The teacher may have the opportunity to instruct students receiving Special Education support in the areas of Language Arts (reading, writing, etc), Math, Personal Management, Social Skills, and Occupational Skills.
This person will be responsible for planning, writing and implementing IEP goals and objectives along with managing a data collection system for sharing clear information to teachers and parents. The teacher will have an understanding of service coordination with the related service providers and create a strong community of support for the student.
