Job Responsibilities

Develop and carry out the school’s vision, mission, and goals.
Serve as a member of the District’s administrative team and actively participate in the development, implementation, and achievement of the District’s goals.
Provide general administration of the total school program, which requires meeting the needs of all students within the building.
Oversee the implementation of approved curriculum and assessments at the building level.
Lead in the recruitment, selection, staff development, and evaluation of staff members at the building level.
Develop and complete mutual commitments tied directly to the District’s goals.
Ensure effective implementation of after-school activities, enrichment and co-curricular activities in conjunction with other District staff.
Communicate with parents, community members, and parent organizations concerning school programs and activities.
Develop the school budget and approve the requisitions for supplies, equipment and materials necessary for the operation of the school.
Oversee the development of and implementation of the student discipline and student recognition programs within the school.
Implement state and federal regulations and School Board policies related to the health and safety of all students and employees.

Bilingual Elementary Teacher – Immersion Program — Grade 3 – 1.0 FTE (LE) (2 Positions)

Candidates should understand and have experience with cultural competency and have a passion for working with and serving diverse populations. We are searching for a candidate who is bilingual including fluent in English and Spanish, both oral and written communications. Native Spanish speaking candidates are strongly preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

A Social Work & Community Resource Liasion assists students and supports families by providing strategic services that address the social-emotional-environmental issues that may interfere with the educational process.  Working with parents/guardians, teachers, school principal, and community-based resources, the Social Work & Community Resource Liasion helps remove barriers that may limit a student’s access to a fulfilled educational experience. In doing so, this Liasion implements strategies that promotes students’ positive school adjustment and creates meaningful family relationships.

Duties of this job include, but are not limited to provide…crisis intervention services;
social work case management for students and families;
risk assessments on referred students;
liaison services with community agencies and assist in fostering communication and deepening partnerships between schools, parents/guardians, and community organizations;
location and mobilization of community resources to support the education program;
home visits and liaison services between families and the school to positively promote collaborative processes in educational planning for students by encouraging parent/guardian participation in the school setting;
parent/guardian educational opportunities on topics such as: child development, stress reduction, discipline & safety, and teacher/parent/student communication; and
collaboration with school staff and other school system personnel to implement strategies to promote student learning.
