Technology Coordinator
Position Title: Technology Coordinator
Start Date: July 1, 2024 (flexible start date)
Position Summary: The Technology Coordinator will provide leadership in planning and managing district information systems consistently to provide relevant, efficient information systems and support for all students and staff. The Technology Coordinator will supervise the technology staff in a manner consistent with established policies. This position will serve as the primary District resource in areas related to technology and work closely with District Administration to align the technology plan with the School District’s strategic plan.
Essential Job Functions (but not limited to):
- Under the direction of the Director of Teaching and Learning and in coordination with school district administrators, actively engage in the needs assessment, visioning, design, acquisition, and implementation in the areas of instructional technology plan
- Supervise, evaluate, and provide work direction to staff within the technology department
- Under the direction of the Director of Teaching and Learning, evaluate and update the District’s Technology Plan
- Keep abreast of current developments and innovations in technology through various resources including attending related conferences, seminars, networking, and meetings
- Provide leadership in guiding the use of technology to further the District’s strategic plan and building goals
- In collaboration with the Director of Teaching and Learning and Director of Finance, direct the allocation of existing human and financial resources to ensure the successful implementation of the District’s Technology Plan
- Ensure that all District Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN) remain operational and effective, including connectivity to the internet
- Manage major vendor outsource technology service relationships
- Develop policies, procedures, and standards regarding technology use
- Oversee the management and security of district information systems
- Examine and analyze existing school and department operations/problems and facilitate the development of solutions using information systems technology
- Perform other duties as assigned to accomplish the objectives and goals of the school district strategic plan

- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in information or technology management or equivalent work experience
1-2 years experience participating in or providing guidance, leadership, and oversight in an educational setting - Demonstrated skill and understanding of the coordination and interoperability of instructional, district-wide services and technical support needs of technology in the school district
- Demonstrated skill in database management
- Familiarity with the OneRoster standard
- High-level working knowledge of both PC and Apple devices and application software
- Ability to establish, maintain, and improve computer networks
