Secondary Career Pathway Specialist

This position is designed to lead the equitable development, implementation, and improvement of 622 Career Pathways. An understanding of corporate culture as well as the educational environment is a must.  A substantial portion of this position is to nurture and develop external partnerships in support of 622 Career Pathways. Working with the Secondary Coordinator, the successful candidate will identify, develop and coordinate Career pathways. This position will provide opportunities for students to explore career fields, earn industry recognized credentials, and expand opportunities for students to earn college credit while in high school. This work requires collaboration with multiple internal and external stakeholders to create and maintain a culture of collaboration, collective inquiry, evidence-based decision making, continuous improvement, and equity.

Monday – Friday; 6:30am – 9:30am & 3:00pm – 6:00pm (30 hrs/week)
Banded/Graded:  A-1-3; Tier 3
Salary:  $17.73/hour
*An extra $26.60/day will be earned when working a split shift on student contact days (max of 173 days)*

Responsible To:  Out of School Time Supervisor/Child Care Specialist

Position Purpose:  Lead program activities, give work direction to paraprofessionals, supervise students in the care program.

Qualifications:  Current first aid certification (have or willing to obtain within first 90 days); experience working with elementary aged children.
