Primary Responsibilities
Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:

Teaching Secondary English, preferably at the Senior High School level is required. A strong knowledge base on assessment for learning, personalization/differentiation and intervention strategies is highly desired.  Ability to teach high school standards in all areas of language arts is important. This person will be a part of the 10th grade Small Learning Community with three other core teachers.  Courses taught will include mainstream, honors and upper level courses. Additional courses and other certifications/licensure are helpful.

0.5 FTE Special Education teaching  to work with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) at Centerview Elementary with students in grades K-4 and
0.5 FTE District-Wide Specialist working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) Pre-K through 21 years.

leading a team of paraprofessionals in meeting students’ needs;
communicating with parents to provide regular updates on student successes and challenges;
collaborating with principals, special education coordinator and staff, and professional learning communities, to ensure student needs are being met;
maintaining student records of services provided, following Due Process best practices and compliance;
acting as a Case Manager for students in your classroom and participate in IEP and evaluation summary meetings; and

A Behavior Paraprofessional at Centerview Elementary School, helping support Behavior Specialist teachers and students in grades K-4 to create and carry out behavior plans for both Special Education and non-Special Education students.

Primary Responsibilities:

Duties of this job include, but are not limited to…

under the supervision of a Behavior Specialist, implementing behaviors plans customized and personalized for students to reinforce preferred behavior;
performing general data collection tasks for the purpose of progress monitoring student success;
having the ability and passion to work with students with emotional/behavior issues is essential;
working comfortably with students in individual, small group, and large group environments, in both general and special education settings;
working effectively with an interdisciplinary team, while having the ability to work independently;
working with school staff to provide behavior support to students in collaboration with teachers; and
participating in, and providing information for, team meetings related to student success and next actions.

Assessment and Data Literacy Specialist

This position is responsible for managing the implementation of the State’s Accountability Testing requirements throughout the District. This includes collaborating with School Assessment Coordinators, as well as district level staff in Information Services, Technology, and Special Education to ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and rules related to State Accountability Testing and data privacy. The incumbent will also assess and analyze testing information to help improve District outcomes.
