Duties of this job include, but are not limited to: all assigned classroom duties and responsibilities, which will include:  implementation of curriculum, assessing student progress, aligning assessment w/ instruction, responding to students w/ personalized learning opportunities, communicating with parents, managing the classroom, and working collaboratively with colleagues while functioning as a member of the Northpoint Elementary staff.

School Year:Monday – Friday; 6:30am – 9:30am & 3:00pm – 6:00pm (30 hrs/week)
Summer: Monday – Friday; Hours will vary, but will not be a split shift (30 hrs/week)
Banded/Graded:  A-1-3; Tier 3
Salary:  $17.73/hour
*An extra $26.60/day will be earned when working a split shift on student contact days (max of 173 days)*

Responsible To:  Out of School Time Supervisor/Child Care Specialist

Position Purpose:  Lead program activities, give work direction to paraprofessionals, supervise students in the care program.

A Behavior Paraprofessional at Centerview Elementary School, helping support Behavior Specialist teachers and students in grades K-4 to create and carry out behavior plans for both Special Education and non-Special Education students.

Primary Responsibilities:

Duties of this job include, but are not limited to…

under the supervision of a Behavior Specialist, implementing behaviors plans customized and personalized for students to reinforce preferred behavior;
performing general data collection tasks for the purpose of progress monitoring student success;
having the ability and passion to work with students with emotional/behavior issues is essential;
working comfortably with students in individual, small group, and large group environments, in both general and special education settings;
working effectively with an interdisciplinary team, while having the ability to work independently;
working with school staff to provide behavior support to students in collaboration with teachers; and
participating in, and providing information for, team meetings related to student success and next actions.
